I have only played the first couple of levels, but the best way to describe OMD! is as a cross between QUAKE and a tower defense game. The screenshots don't do it justice.

I can't decide if it's worth getting at full price, but I am so glad I grabbed this game (and the sequel) when the bundle was on sale.

If they make another sequel, I hope they figure out how to make a co-op multiplayer. It would be nice to be able to compete with a friend to see who can make the most kills, most headshots, and all around biggest mess.

I wish there was a "Maybe" button, because I can't say I would recommend getting this game, but I can't say I would recommend against getting it, either.

If you are willing to wait until it goes on sale again, put it on your wishlist and hope for the best.

When they made STAR WARS: The Complete Saga, they took the original two games and combined them, adding a few new features and minigames to replace the redundancies. If they had done that here while tacking on Crystal Skull, I would tell you to buy it at full price, even if you already had the original. (Especially if you have it on CD instead of STEAM.) Unfortunately, they gutted the gameplay of the first 3 movies to make room for the level creator, even though there was more than enough space.

Part of the major appeal of the other LEGO games is hunting for minikits. That joy is gone, as is being able to enact the movie with other characters in Free Play. No more running around as someone from a different movie, collecting stuff.

The level editor is nice, but not being able to share your creations makes it rather a waste of time. About the only way I can think of for others to play your levels is if you can hack through and copy your save file, then email it to someone.

Taken as it's own self and by itself, it's a pretty good game, but all the changes from the original make it unworthy of calling itself a sequel.

When I saw the picture, I thought the game was something like PORTAL, or at least a mod for it. My internet speed is VERY slow, so I never watch the videos. If I had, I wouldn't have bought the game, at least not by itself.

After it finally loaded, I realized it's about on par with many free games on sites such as Kongregate and NewGrounds.
The graphics are good and the gameplay is okay, but it's not worth the 49¢ I paid, much less the $2 they are asking for.

For a little while longer, there is a sale on this game and the sequel for 50¢, as well as a sale on a group of games which includes both of them and 8 more for only $1.59 (normally $8 for the set) that may be worth getting if you need simple games for the next time you are going to be stuck in the middle of nowhere with no internet access.

I spent money on what I thought was going to be either a game or a chance to build my own worlds.
Frankly, what I got was neither.

There is no story to try to follow like the rest of the LEGO games. If someone asked me if there was any kind of objective, "collect all the characters and items" would be the closest thing to an answer I could give.

I spent my entire time smashing things to collect studs. The amount of studs you get is pitifully small while the purchase price for items to decorate is exorbitantly high.

If you enjoy MineCraft and feel like spending hours on end grinding away so you can create your own LEGO universe, all I can say is "I wish you lots of luck and a high boredom threshold. You are going to need both."
