This is an excellent 4x game, their slogan "Real time strategy. Unrivalled scale." isn't a joke with games ranging from small 1 star 8 planet maps to 8+ stars 100+ planets they use Incredible distances are used to create a sense of awe to the player and to introduce new strategic elements (a game on a huge map can take you literally days to win). Having owned this game since it was launched I still love this game after all these years, this game is a classic and a must have in anyone's library especially if you love complex 4x style games. I burned out after many hours after it was launched and I remember the game fondly.
