All game devs should look to this game when it comes to what a games optimization should look like. This and the previous DOOM both run beautifully across a huge range of both nvidia and amd rigs. Even on my old arse gtx 1060 system from years ago can run the game flawlessly. I think this is the first AAA game where i've had to LIMIT framerate on this i7 8700 / 1080ti rig because my cheap 1440 monitor doesn't like to be ran past 120fps...... Oh, the games amazing too......

Its almost like HARD MODE is well....you kno....HARD! I'm absolutely loving this DLC and you can tell tons and tons of work has went into it. The amount of new characters alone is crazy, not to mention all the new items. Yea, some of our fond and game-breaking items have gone down the toilet but honestly that's opened up so many other options for runs. You cant just mindlessly run through hard mode anymore. You need to make educated decisions on your run and hey if all it comes down to is "mad cuz bad" then there's a HUGE workshop community that's more than ready to give you the mod to whatever you desire!!!

Ignore the negative reviews. Majority of them are just peeved that they cant break runs with 2-3 op items anymore :P

This isn't a review on game play / story .... It will turn into that over time. Just felt like talking about the optimization. EXTREMELY impressed , games running flawlessly "so far". I actually had to cap my frames off at 143 because at points I was getting too many frames, causing some small tearing but that's a me problem.... If you were worried about performance, don't be, "given you at least meet the min specs". Will give opinion on the game later, so far having a lot of fun!

EXTREMELY disappointed with how the game currently performs on my setup..... Current setup is 1080ti, i7 8700, 16gb DDR4, installed on SSD..... Running on low/med settings on 1080p with -10% rez reduction and can hardly keep 60fps and when playing the game on low to low/med settings it looks absolutely horrible and blurry, character models and shadows all look worse than games made back in 2014. Also, another extreme disappointment was the Nomad start....CDPR sold the starting choices as huge impacts on the story and they specifically said how you have to go and do many missions and earn trust in the nomad area to work your way into the city....You literally climb a radio tower, drive a car for 2 minutes and then you get a random, poorly edited cutscene that fast forwards you 1 year in time to where you're magically in the city now.....idk, this is all HUGE red flags for me and ill most likely be sitting this one out....Empty promises are a huge peeve for me....and these are on a massive scale......

Oh, almost forgot about the HORRID feel with controls.....They added mouse acceleration with NO WAY TO TURN IT OFF.... They also have horrid latency issues even with vsync off, making tons and tons of input lag show up....I truly dont believe for a second that the team that worked on Witcher 3 worked on this game....theres no way in hell

I really hate to thumb down this game....Its an amazing game but it baffles me that the game was released on PC in the current state its in..... There are so many issues that I find it hard to believe the team behind the port thought their "baby" was ready to be released to public. Clearly a greed inspired decision which sadly is par for the course in todays gaming industry. My specs are.....
i7 8700
GTX 1080ti
16gb DDR4
1TB SSD

Even with these specs I have to run the game on low to med/low settings in 1080p to try like hell to keep a consistent framerate over 60fps. The games transitional optimization is HORRID.... Constantly running into areas that suck my fps down to 40-50fps then out of nowhere shoot to 100+ fps thus creating horrible stutter and microstutter on my gsync monitor, nomatter how I cap the framerate..... This game deserves much more care before being released and its depressing anyone in their right mind thought now was a good time to release the game in its current state.... Thank god I havnt been having the crashing issues alot of others have had but even without those issues im finding it really hard to go back to the game because of the drastic framerate issues.
