As others have said, the game itself is good. However, the major bug where items are lost and can't be regained without restarting means that I can't recommend it.

This is a great strategy puzzle game. It's also the type of game you can sink hours of time into.

While the game is graphically beautiful, it is not the game which people backed, therefore I can not recommend it.

The demo shows a lot of walking, is this just a walking simulator?
No! Our Kickstarter preview is a vertical slice that is designed to show some extremely basic puzzles and elements from our game, but mostly the art. We have a wide array of puzzles to solve and mysteries to unfold in the full game, but we can’t give them away just yet.

They have mentioned a few times in the Steam discussions that they were "transparent with our backers about this". From what I can see, they were transparent on 23 May 2019 https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/eagregames/zed/posts/2514704

"So some new design elements had to be considered, and others discarded".

They didn't elaborate on this and no one queried it. Although I doubt many people would think one of the discarded parts was the main focus, the puzzles!

I've played this game before it was released on Steam so don't pay attention to my relatively low play time.

This is one of the best gay interest games out there. I love the art style and the sound effects too. The story is great and there's a fair amount of humour thrown into the mix as well.

As with most games of this type, it's highly replayable as there are many, many routes which you can take.

In my opinion, it is definitely worth purchasing & I hope the developer continues to make games like this.

This game promised so much but has delivered very little. A lot of what was highlighted during the original funding campaign failed to materialise and p2win style mechanics that weren't shown were added in after it was funded. Even if you can't actually purchase gems for money in the Steam version, it still plays exactly like the sort of game you'd find on smart devices.

Maybe in time they'll release the game as it was originally shown but I am not going to hold my breath.

Considering this game is pre-alpha, it is very polished. The devs listen to the community just the right amount and it has come a long way in the space of a few months. I expect this game will go far.
