When Divinity Original Sin came out it filled such a void that had been missing in my life for a long time. That is a fairly old school CRPG experience in a new wrapper. The turn based combat is really well done and reminded me a bit of the old SSI Dungeons and Dragons games. Original Sin 2 just takes the first games formula and improves it everywhere. It is one of the best CRPGs in the last 10 years. We are going through a bit of a renaissance in the CRPG field with Pillars of Eternity series, Tyranny, Pathfinder: Kingmaker and others, but in my opinion D:OS2 sits at the top as the best in the genre. I can't wait to see what comes next for this developer (Baldur's Gate 3!!!!).
