This used to be a great game. Now it's existence is only used to milk as much money as possible from 16 year olds developping a gambling addiction opening up weapon skin cases for a hope of profit.
Absolutely broken matchmaking, it is not uncommon for a low rank to end up against a high rank, and vice versa. Also filled with griefers who play with the aim to lose to play against less experienced players once they lose their matchmaking rank.
I bought the game more than 5 years ago, and after they made it free to boost up their concurrent player numbers for the danger zone update (the battle royale game mode), more cheaters have been able to join the game, which makes it impossible for you to play competitively without having to buy Premium account or grind levels to rank up to level 21 to gain Premium status to avoid playing with hackers.
BUT! Even with Premium, you'd think you would be safe. Nope. This game has been out for years and they still can't fix their overwhelming amount of cheaters problem present in their game modes, especially competitive.
Sad to see it go that way but the company doesn't care about the players.

For someone who actually had to pay for the game back then before it was free, I can tell you this much. Game is unfinished. Buggy as hell in-game and their servers are trash. We had a server (That we paid for btw) and were greeted with a nice corrupted save when we next played it, when their job is to literally keep it nice and safe for us as we're paying them for it.

Building in this game is absolutely cancerous and the camera is ridiculous. It seems that the more they update the game, the more features they remove and the more issues start to appear. They removed sharks and first person mode, we got corrupted servers and game breaking bugs instead.

Save the frustration, don't get this game.

Game is survival based while also leading a very interesting story with so much mind f#ck and many plot twists.
Worth it for its price.
