I know this is probably going to be called a Stardew Clone but I honestly like Fields of Mistria 10x more. It's adorable. It has likeable characters. My grandfather didn't die to leave me the property and I'm not escaping a droning existence. Good, solid backstory. So far, this is the best farm sim of the style because of all the little details. I just wish I had linked storage bins.

This is a fun, high-quality management game. The theme is light-hearted. The graphics are just a little too close to 2 Point Hospital but they're still decent. Overall, I'd say worth picking up, especially if there's a sale. I've been busy for 3 hours and feel like I've barely started.

I've greatly enjoyed this game so far. 4/5 stars!

There's always room for improvement. In this case, I'd like to see an added training mechanic or advancement mechanic for certain skills. Maybe purchase upgrades to increase the "perfect" area on taps. Maybe train fairies up so that they CAN produce perfect goods. Hire a firewood fairy or order deliveries of firewood? There are so many more things that can be useful in end-game progression. I'd also LOVE to see an Inn feature with rented rooms at some point.

The mechanics that ARE present work well. I haven't encountered any major bugs or glitches. The few small ones I have seen were already patched out. Great devs. Great game.

20 years of alpha and some of us old people get to see the promised land of a full release. I can't wait but I'm also afraid they'll stop releasing content updates. We shall see.

Adorable! Amazing! Awesome! Another A-word!

This game gives you everything. Accessibility options. Difficulty choices. Rewarding gameplay loop. It's got the colony management side to keep you busy when you want to relax for a few minutes. It's got the rogue-lite combat that's incredibly well-designed to keep you moving when you're ready for action. And the two tie together in a meaningful way! All around favorite rogue-lite to date.

Must get. Worth every penny.

Review Update!
There have been so many great bug fixes, patches, and little quality of life features added. This game has gone from quirky but fun to a true joy. The most recent addition of so many new shelving options, stock room expansions, and customization has taken it over the top. Definitely worth grabbing.

omg the visual bugs. Wow.
But omg the amazing storytelling and writing. *Drool*
Great character design for companions keeps them interesting. I can treat them like something more than a generic turret like some other games.
Bonus extra "yaaasss queen" for delightful voice acting and sound design.

22 hours in with one single- and one multi-player and I still feel like I've barely scratched the surface. Each of those have been wildly different experiences from the start and that's amazing.

Can't wait to see if full release actually fixes those cut-scenes where heads are two-feet away from bodies. Or buried inside walls. Or those times that the camera gets completely stuck in terrain and you have to restart the game mid-combat.

Yum yum yum. Puzzley goodness with a very satisfying-for-your-OCD aftertaste.

I can 100% understand why this is rated mostly negative. Well-deserved.

I bought this thinking that I could make some matching custom assets to use, as well. As a casual tinkerer with the software, I don't really see how to figure out the scale of the character sprites if I wanted to make my own. The description defines tiles, but not the actor/character. Big sad.

Otherwise, it's incredibly cute and there's just enough to make a 'dream' scene or sequence or a 'game inside a game' scenario. Not much more. I'd like to see MUCH more of this style in the DLC assets to build a full game out of.
