Early Access Review
Gearcity, at its core, is a buisness simulator/strategy game in the years 1900-2010.
Your job as the player/CEO is to create a successful company by designing and then selling Vehicles, competing against a large number of AI, representing Historical companies active in the time period.

The game represents an in depth simulation of an automotive buisness, so if you are looking for that, or a game inspired by classic titles like Detriot, you wont be dissappointed.

If like me, you lack any serious knowledge of cars/engineering but have a love for complex strategy games and patience, this can be an interesting and rewarding game to play. Fortunately, you are given a lot of tools, like the mega menu and assisted design tools, to make managing the game far easier than it would be otherwise.

I would especially reccommend it to gamers who liked the idea of "Automation Game", but, like me, were put off by the technical engineering knowledge required to play it.

It certainly has some of the faults you commonly find in Early Access Games such as a number of minor bugs, but at least in my experience, its stable in its current form.

At least in its current form, the game can be quite challenging and intimidating to new players, so if you do decide to play it, id reccommend looking at the tutorials, checking the steam and official forums for advice/help.

My Background in the game: Gearcity Open Beta tester for the last 6 months.

Easily one of the Best Realtime Grand Strategy games ever made, it combines character based roleplaying and Medieval Intrigue with Province and Country scale Strategy.
Its extensive moddability has led to a huge and well organized modding community, who have already released many major balancing/improvement mods and many total overhaul mods, like the famous Game of Thrones mod.

Unlike a lot of other Paradox games, this game has very few bugs and is overall very smooth and polished. It has also been extensively reviewed and let's played, if you want to look at it in detail before you buy.

This is an Easy reccommendation for anyone who enjoys complex strategy games along the lines of other paradox titles, the "Wargame" or "Total War" series of games, or some of the more complex turn based games.
I wouldn't recommend it if you only enjoy fast paced reflex based RTS games like Starcraft.
