For soloq survivors, the game is still pretty bad.

The base kit "Borrowed Time" did little to nothing to change the camping META. Without using "Off the Record", you are up to have a bad time playing it.

Perk changes also didn't do much to make the game more fun. You can only pray the next survivor will bring something cool like "Head On" in the future. But it has been several patches of new perks being a new flavor of an existing one, so I wouldn't count on that.

EDIT: It's been a while and my opinion hasn't changed about it.

Still a slow paced "Battle Royale" game that is poorly optimized.
What made this game fun to play back in the mod days was having a group of friends to play with, so you could repair cars, helicopters and wreak havoc.

If you have played DayZ before and wants to play this one by yourself, it can feel quite boring.

Compared to Eliza and Akuma, I think Geese is closer to how Tekken plays. He's kinda fun.

The best fighting game of this era.
Tekken 7 now finally has a netcode that allows players to find enjoyable matches even on places with a small Tekken scene.

The game is very complex in comparison to other fighters, since it has so many options and interactions you can learn, but feels very rewarding the more you learn it. It has a huge amount of characters you can choose from, and they allow you to express your playstyle.

Really recommend it, especially after the most recent patch (Season 4) with a lot of improvements to online play.

The game is interesting at first, but it gets boring quite fast.

I disliked how each level seems to force you to perform the same task over and over. There was a level where some giants throw boulders at you, then you have to dodge them all the way down, then you have to dodge them again and use the boulders to build bridges, it goes all the way down doing the same task over and over.

Then you think maybe it was just one level that was repetitive, but it's the same thing for all the mechanics they present you.

I also didn't like the exploration. You often run into dead ends, the scenario has a lot of space and "hidden" areas that seem to be holding some sort of treasure, but not. There seem to be only one treasure you can find wich is the golden apple that raises your total HP and that's it. Exploration is pretty lame.

I mostly liked the style and the boss fights. They were not hard, but they were interesting, too bad you have to grind through these repetitive levels to get to them.

Not giving it a bad review because of the game itself, but rather because of the community.

If you don't have previous experience with the game, it's really tough to get into it. The community will often kick you out of games because you don't know how to play it well. I also don't have that many servers I can join with low ping, so that's another excuse for people to kick me aswell.

Luckily, I tried this game back when it was Free To Play and didn't need to pay for it later on, but if you are thinking about buying it to prepare for Quake Champions, you are better off just waiting for the newer game.

It seems they have abandoned the idea of making this game super competitive and embraced the casual playerbase. The game can be fun if played with friends or if you just wanna kill time.

I still dislike their change of direction on Hero decks. The beta days saw more options to play the same champion differently, while the new system is more about making one aspect stronger than the others.

Anyways, it's alright.

If you played the first game, I don't recommend playing this one, 'cause it's gonna be a disappointment.

The first game had such a high skill ceiling. It was an amazing game that rewarded coordination and aiming. The community used to be really strong and would often find new tricks and make the game even harder to master.

K-style was an unintended thing that made GunZ great and they simply decided to turn their backs on it and on the community that made their game popular.

Shame that the best game Ubisoft could come up with didn't sell as well as they expected.

I played the demo for this game once and fell in love, I now finally bought the game and it's everything I wanted and more.
It's a great platformer and it doesn't try to just be the game it was decades ago.

The game has a nice learning curve, replayability, a lot of levels, beautiful art style and level design and tons of things you can unlock. It's interesting that, even though the game has a lot of content, it doesn't force you to go through everything. If you are good enough to beat harder levels, you can unlock them very early and speedrun it.

I just can hope Ubisoft has plans for new games.
