Tekken 7's core gameplay is amazing to say the least. It can be easily picked up by just about anyone due to being mash friendly for beginners while at the same time having insane amount of depth in terms of mechanics and characters, rewarding both hardcore and casual audience. Combos are fun to do and flexible, allowing improvisation once you understand the combo structure of the game, neutral and defensive mechanics are interesting and complex. A great fighting game at its core.

However, what should be a 10/10 game is ruined by the terrible user experience. The game crashes randomly when you rematch someone online, the lobby system is terrible due to how difficult it is to swap players as well as not having instant rematch which would not have been a big problem if the loading time does not take forever. Whether online ranked matches or lobbies, a lot of your time will be wasted just loading into the match itself. Due to the recent netcode fix and wifi indicator, the matches has gotten better. I haven't even started talking about how barebones the contents in the game are. There are no tutorials available, punishment training is meh, you have to buy dlc for in-game frame data, you can only store 29 replays, you can't even find a match while in training mode, no crossplay between consoles and pc, if you care about story mode and customization lets just say that it is very limited.

My relationship with tekken 7 is a love-hate one. The core gameplay is both challenging and rewarding, but everything else is so unnecessarily frustrating and lackluster that it can take away from your enjoyment of the game.

TLDR: Tekken 7 is amazing and terrible at the same time, basically gold covered in ♥♥♥♥.

Its another great game from supergiant. Like always it has great music, great voice acting, and great visuals. The gameplay might seem odd at first, but it gets better once you grasp the gameplay mechanics. The story is massive in terms of possible choices and options with a different possible ending for each character. The gameplay is slightly repetitive but the liberation rite and new characters help freshen up the gameplay. Overall 8/10. It is important to note that it is a sports game so it wont feel like bastion or transistor.
