Solid Roguelike experience similar to titles of the same genres such as Dead Cells and Rogue Legacy. The head swapping mechanic offers a nice twist on the genre. Swapping heads is basically picking up a new weapon, only the head also comes with new abilities. Items you come across mainly boost stats but some modify traits or add new ones. This can allow for some cool and unique builds. Get a Spear Skull and items that modify dash damage and distance. Or a Gargoyle Skull with items that drop bombs as you fly around and increase attack speed while airborne.

Some of the items and skulls you come across can be pretty useless/doesn't fit your style but that is customary in a Roguelike. Some runs are pure doodoo, while others come together just right. It also feels like some added coding logic was implemented to give items a higher drop rate that work together. This can be nice as you'll come across less runs where you have the most random bs for items where nothing works with one another.

If you enjoy Dead Cells, give this one a try and if you are new to the genre this is a good game to start with. It retains the challenge that most Roguelikes have but has a progression system that is more forgiving than Dead Cells. (You don't lose all your upgrade materials upon death). At the Early Access price, this game is a steal.
