TL;DR 8/10
The story and the setting are great. The combat is about as sophisticated as it can get for a soulsborn game. The bosses are usually pretty fun and the improvements to the AI fromsoft introduced made the fights so much more interactive and engrossing. As dumb as this sounds but jumping really adds an additionally layer of depth to the combat as it gives you an opportunity to both evade and punish attacks simultaneously. The game is so surprising full of content I'm still finding new things and places I missed on my first play through. The PvP combat is honestly some of the best Fromsoft has made as of yet. There's fairly large diversity of viable builds with complimentary items you can choose from.

My grips are fairly minor. The side dungeons are pretty forgettable and a lot of the enemies are essentially reused but what did you expect from and open world rpg? There should be a feature that allows you to opt in to solo invasions in dungeons from the menu vs some item you need to reuse to every time you respawn. The invasion timer should count down 15 minutes from when you've killed an invader not 15 minutes from when you were initially invaded. I like PvP I don't like it when it's back to back and I'm just trying to progress through a level. As far as I'm aware the gamebreaking PvP bugs that are inevitably in every fromsoft release have been patched. Bleed procs are honestly overpowered at the moment and over leveled summons need to be down scaled much harder. You'll see alot of people crying about 'rivers of blood' and 'bloodhound step' which are very annoying yes but only people who are bad at the game generally use them.

It's a pretty good albeit repetitive and short game. I'd definitely recommend to buy this game when it goes on sale because $29.99 is a bit much for how much content it has

Has the same energy TF2 use to have. It's pretty fun and surprisingly easy pick up

You play as what I understand to be sentient ♥♥♥♥ reanimating a headless corpse but in spite of that this game is pretty fun. It's hard enough to keep me interested but not too hard to where it becomes aggravating.
