I Can't really say much about the earlier games because it's my 1st Yakuza game but what I can tell you is this is a fantastic RPG with a lot of heart

Pros
*Fantastic story
*Fun but simple gameplay
*Lovable characters especially Ichiban
*Unique classes
*Great party members personality and gameplay wise
*Weird but funny side missions
*Fun minigames especially dragon cart
*Beginner friendly (you don't have to play the other yakuza games to understand the story)
*English and Japanese voices are really great
*The soundtrack is fantastic

Cons
*Bugs(there's a few of them especially in combat)
*It can get grindy especially if you want to do the true millennium tower
*In chapter 12 you have to get 3 million yen and it will take a while unless you're doing management mode. There's is also a difficult spike this chapter too.

Overall I highly recommend this game is you like any of pros that I listened up there. It's a really great game.
