Starting with the pros:

This isn't a game where only the guys getting kills are useful.
Playing as an engineer and building defenses can win the match. Playing as support and dropping supplies for your officer is critical. Even just driving a transport truck to the front line makes a huge difference. You feel important even when you're not shooting.
This game makes you feel like a small cog in a giant war machine.

You will die a lot. But the fact that a single bullet can drop you makes every decision matter.
It works both ways, when you're the one who lands that perfect long-range shot or clears a room with your squad, it feels incredibly satisfying.

The cons:
The game does a terrible job of teaching you how to play.
There is no tutorial, so the first hours you probably will be mostly useless, relying on squad mates to teach you, but usually everyone expects you to learn on the fly, or be an expert already.

Like all team based games, your experience can be ruined by a silent squad with an officer who doesn't talk or place spawns.
But when you land in a good squad, the game is incredible.

You'll occasionally get stuck on scenery, have issues vaulting over a wall, or see a tank do something weird(not the best physics). The game has improved a ton, but it's not perfectly polished, and you'll run into some frustrating quirks now and then.

TLDR
If you're tired of the hyper fast, run-and-gun chaos of other shooters, this game is for you.
The game has its rough edges, and it asks you to be patient and communicative, but if you are, it delivers an unmatched WWII experience.

p2p servers in 2025, nice(no)

Ok a more detailed review

The AI in this game can be incredibly dumb. Soldiers will stand out in the open, tanks won't face their armor correctly, you give them a SHIFT command with lots of dots in-between, but the tank decides to go 180 exposing the engine, though you gave a shift command for every meter, and gun crews will just sit there while a threat walks right up to them. This forces you to micromanage everything, all the time. You can't just give an order and trust it'll be done; you have to constantly check on every unit. It's less like being a general and more like being a stressed-out kindergarten teacher who has to make sure nobody eats glue.

For all its detailed realism, the game can feel like it's falling apart at the seams. Units get stuck on terrain, vehicles bug out, pathfinding (again even with SHIFT)sends your troops on bizarre suicide runs, and sometimes things just don't work the way they should. It's built on an old engine, and it shows. Losing a critical unit because it got stuck on a fence post is infuriating.

Forget the gameplay itself; the multiplayer is fundamentally broken on a technical level. In 2025, it's unacceptable that the game runs on a peer-to-peer (P2P) connection system. This means every match is a lottery based on a random host's internet stability/performance(or another player).
You will constantly deal with stuttering, laggy units, and input delay that isn't your fault.

TLDR
Your biggest enemy isn't the player across the map, it's the terrible netcode, even worse AI and the high probability that the host will crash or rage quit.

Nice potential with 0 balance, same cost units for factions, but eldar can collect gems to buff (even on their turn when they attack and destroy their own unit) necrons can reanimate and regen for the same cost card, 3 cost card in one team deals 3 free damage + extra damage + hp, on the other team 3 cost card gives ya 2\3\3 card with no benefits, wtf?

The game had a rough start, but step by step it's getting better, i hope they will reach the full potential this game got.

As for people who still can't decide buy it or not, there are too much factors, long story short - if you are a 40k fan(or vermintide) get it, eventually it will be awesome game, in any other case you should wait till its polished or watch some streams and up to date gameplay and make some bugs/tech peoblem research and decide for yourself.

After an year this game potential is not at full, but trust me its much better now.
