Great promising little game. Kingdom Two Crowns meets cutesy polygon RTS style.

Great game, but be warned of two things that merit a negative vote imo:

1) Deceptive marketing: The trailer features voice acting that is heavily implied to be in the game. There is absolutely no voice acting in the game.

2) The final chapter of the free DLC gets commandeered by woke ideology by having a trans character basically become the main character of the game, to the point where the actual main character seemingly loses experience, agency and consistency with what you've done throughout the game. The writing also goes a bit off the rails forcing the story to have you skirt the line of a romantic relationship with them. Definitely frustrating and so annoying to see another game get infected by cringe political activism.

Best way to enjoy: Play the game, skip the DLC chapters, it's on rails unlike the main game, super short, writing quality takes a dive, and beats you over the head with insufferable trans/woke political activism.

DLC doesn't even show the results of your efforts to resolve the 'big ending'....it's like that horse meme for seasons of shows and here the horse is high fidelity until the end and then it becomes basically a stick figure horse head lol.

Devs are clueless, continue nerfing everything into the ground. They're ruining what started as a good game.

And they're completely clueless about balance or PvE philosophy / design. They literally recently said "we hear you buy people are still playing the game so it must be ok?"

They also lie since they repeatedly say "they hear us" and then keep nerfing everything.

Oh and of course you also have the mandatory 2024 Western gaming issue of SJW woke staff openly hating and insulting the playerbase. Because who doesn't love financially supporting crazy ideologues who hate you.

Great content, but performance is garbage.

Game regularly completely freezes for multiple seconds. Stuttering and low fps areas abound, and these issues also are now in the base game.

10/10? Give me a break. Gaming media being lemmings and shills as usual.

Also, more than a few bosses are very badly designed, pushing you constantly into corners and making you fight against the camera instead of enjoying the fight.

Please fix the performance. But who am I kidding? Media and devs area just gonna gaslight us into saying we dislike it because we need to git gud right?

Guess I'm not gud enough after beating every FS game since Demon's Souls...

Great little indie game. Wonderful VR experience.

Relatively short, I stopped playing after 6 hours and got through around 70% of what the game has to offer, but there is an endless challenge mode for those who want to sink into it further.

Well made, no nonsense, fun, good for the scope of what it is. If you like space fighter games with an optional element of strategy (you can zoom out and pause command your fleet) then this is for you.

Got it as a gift, what a waste and shame.

Decently made game but it wasn't for me, I found it very average.

If you look into it and it looks really exciting, get it. If you're on the fence, will probably not be your thing.

Fantastic game.

AA game, no woke BS, XCOM in the Aliens universe but real time instead of turn based.

Extremely faithful to the Aliens source material, from the assets, world building and voice lines to Easter eggs and more.

Extremely few bugs, only encountered 3 that were minor:
- Map sometimes gets stuck, can get unstuck by right clicking
- At the start of one mission, all voice lines from the previous mission's ending were played before the new mission lines.
- Two times the FPS went down to 20-30 and required either loading a save or using an elevator (load screen) to fix.

Great story, the best in the Aliens franchise since the Alien 1 & 2 and Isolation. Like being a part of a good Aliens movie. Actually ended up really immersed and rooting for Administrator Hayes and she even has

Great gameplay with real time tactics, varied classes, weapons, abilities, enemies, bosses, mission types, set pieces, locations, upgrades and more. Lots of love was poured into this game and it shows.

Great sound design, and voice acting is really great.

Great graphics for the scope of what this game is, no stuttering or other issues so many games have these days.

New game + and lots of modifier options for those who want to really sink their teeth in and get the most out of this experience for a lot of playtime.

Very fairly priced, strong buy at full price, no brainer if on sale, no Denuvo or other corporate nonsense.

Only criticism: even with a 4090 top of the line PC, the highest FPS achievable is 131/sec. (but it was fine and didn't hurt my experience)

Boring gameplay

Low quality graphics

Certain mechanics like overwatch (triggerable defense mode) completely fundamentally flawed and broken

Space marines lack impact and are incredibly weak to starting game no name mobs armed with nothing more than a pistol

Story very lackluster

Extremely long turn animations for allies and enemies alike that you can't skip.

Small squad size with lots of enemy fodder that makes you waste turns

In the end it just left me wanting to replay Xcom 2.
