It does what is says.

edit: Not only does it do what it says, it has become my go-to program for all types of macros. Even if you aren't using the software for voice commands, you can make complex macros that outperform Razer Synapse in many areas. There's probably dedicated software out there that's better, but for my use case this is absolutely amazing.

Couldn't tell you if it's the Steam overlay, Windows 11 issues, or something else entirely - but the app glitches out from the moment you start it up. It flashes violently as it starts up, then it seemingly calms down but there's ghosting on text i.e if you use a drop-down menu it looks like your classic Windows XP experience when your computer was lagging. After a while it cuts to a black screen and you have to kill the process with task manager.

From the few minutes I managed to actually look at the program, it does not offer much over a free program like Paint.net, it's nice that you can make templates and such, but saving a picture as a standard .pdn file essentially does the same, and with these bugs I know which option I'm choosing.

It feels almost illegal to have access to this many boardgames practically for free.

It feels like everyone has rigor mortis, player movement is very stiff. Melee combat is atrocious, it attempts to include popular souls-like mechanics like parrying and backsteps, but you can't lock-on to characters with your camera. You are essentially looking in one cardinal direction with your camera, while your character itself is locking on to enemies with their animations.

They should've chosen between animations that force your character into committing to his swings but actually letting you lock-on, or allowed you to run around swinging freely without locking onto targets. The worst part is the animation lock-on, the fact that your character is snapping onto targets drives me up the wall, it feels like you don't have proper control of your character.

Now for the sun mechanic, the reason I couldn't stand V Rising was because of that f***ing annoying sun. Yes it makes perfect sense that a vampire can't be in the sun, yes it makes sense that standing in the scorching desert sun gives you sun stroke and dehydrates you. But you can hop on a bike to magically become immune to it, so why does it have to be a thing in the first place?

I hate that you can't explore the world without feeling like you're managing an oxygen meter where you have to constantly come up for air in the shade all the time, it's not a diving game yet still your bike is your submarine and your shade is the surface.

If this game didn't take place in a beloved universe it would have flopped so hard, that's my two cents.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard feels exactly like the reboot of Saints Row did, they completely missed the mark on what made the originals great. The original and controversial trailer of this game actually did represent the underlying feel of the game.

This was my first introduction to the Warhammer franchise, and I had a tough time getting into the whole fantasy in space vibe. A clothing mod later and I felt more connected to my character and allowed myself to get immersed.

Really cool game, can't say I'm a big fan of the combat rules however. I'm used to being able to move after attacking, and buffs lasting more than a round. In this game it feels like you're spending 4 actions throwing down buffs and debuffs that all last a turn and then finally finish with your attack, and then you throw down the exact same rotation on your next round. I managed to make an assassin build that doesn't suffer from this problem as much, but in general you can tell that the game stays true to its TTRPG origins.

Tooltip transparency is a nightmare in this game, I'm not going to bother going into a lot of detail as I'm sure you can find a horde of people complaining about it elsewhere. It's just very inconsistent, take parry chance and dodge reduction as an example: only displays on your character inventory, not on the in-combat examine option. Why? Dodge and armour shows up just fine.

Anyhow, the level of player agency and roleplaying opportunities in dialogue makes up for everything I don't like about the game, bugs included.
