Dragon Ball FighterZ has a power level that transcends time and space by combining the iconic DBZ franchise with true fighting game mechanics.

This combination has resulted in a catastrophic cluster crunch that any fighting game or DBZ fan should take a long look at.

Here are some features to consider:

- A sizable roster of 30+ with DLC. Noteworthy fighters include Yamcha, Piccolo the Namekian, Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Vegito, the entire Ginyu Force as one character, and 5 different versions of Goku. All characters possess unique movesets unlike popular DBZ games such as Budokai Tenkaichi 3, where the roster is insanely huge, but the characters have little differences between each other.

- DBFZ uses 3-on-3 tag team style combat similar to Marvel Vs. Capcom, which means you have characters popping in to chuck destructo discs and senzu beans all over the place, swapping characters mid-fight, and you can have all 3 of your characters jump in at once to BLAST your opponent with an array of giant ultimate attacks.

- As a traditional fighting game, there is plenty of depth, strategy, and techniques to learn that will keep the dedicated players busy.

- Because the game is 3v3, and there are 3 different versions of Vegeta in the game, you have the choice to play as only Vegeta. This is a big selling point.

- I believe that the visuals in DBFZ are the most impressive to ever grace a fighting game, and is stunning to look at compared to any video game. Characters' attacks are extremely faithful to the source material, and the hand-drawn/3D model style that allows for dynamic camera angles and perspective is a great accomplishment on its own.

- And of course, there any many iconic, heavy-hitting, bunker-busting, ultra-mega special moves that each character can use that will result in both hype and world destruction. Gohan brings in the whole fam to launch a triple Kamehameha beam, Majin Buu can get angry and blow up the entire screen, Android 16 can try to grab you and self-destruct, INSTANTLY KILLING YOU. The list goes on and on.

The bottom line here, is that it's Dragon Ball Z combined with proper fighting game mechanics. It is a combo so deadly, that many pairs of pants were soiled at the moment of its first debut.

DBFZ is easily one of my favorite fighting games out there. It is an easy recommendation for fighting game fans, and especially for those who enjoy watching Chiaotzu blow himself up to do massive damage to the enemy.
