I did enjoy the game but I honestly wish there was a mixed review option on steam. The management in general is fun, the politics stuff is cool and the narrative elements are strong. However, I have a lot of complaints:

- After the whiteout happens, you're basically drowning in resources, manpower, and fuel, and the game becomes kind of trivial. It feels like you're just sitting around doing inconsequential nonsense until the next story beat happens.
- There are way too many bugs. Nothing game breaking, mostly just embarrassing UI bugs. I would think after a year of the game being out these would be fixed by now.
- The performance kind of sucks. You can tell it was made in Unreal. I meet all the system requirements and it was still stuttery.
- The way heat adjacency bonuses work is really stupid. I honestly can't tell if it's a bug or an intended mechanic. Districts that are adjacent to warm districts get +1 heat level. So if district A gets set to warm, and adjacent district B is livable, is also gets bumped up to warm. But then if you decrease the heat level of district A down a level, district A is still warm because now it is being warmed by the adjacency bonus of district B. So you're basically generating free heat out of nothing. It doesn't break the game or anything and I guess it actually works in your favor because you can save fuel, but I hardly ever used it because it's so stupid it feels like cheating.

Really liked the first game. The first one had a constant, high-energy pace, with each level flowing into the next. In this game you constantly stop to do puzzles, look for where to go, and talk to boring NPCs. They also made it to where you can block projectiles, which makes the combat feel safe and boring. Finally, while the story of the first was nothing amazing, it was at least bearable and somewhat engaging. The characters in this game, meanwhile, are all sarcastic Reddit ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ making epic quips every 5 seconds. Do not recommend.
