A beautiful recreation of the original masterpiece, in itself a masterpiece. Fan-made by some of the most hardworking, committed, determined, talented, and skilled developers I have ever seen, or rather the gaming community has likely ever seen. Thank you to these folk who have created something incredibly breathtaking. A literal perfect rendition to the start of the Half-Life universe. Phenomenal.

Early Access Review
Don't really understand many of these reviews stating the game runs fine, and the complaints are unwarranted. Everyone's experience will be unique; that's kinda the idea of Steam Reviews.

ANYWAY, I have a RTX 2060 6Gb GPU and AMD Ryzen 5900X with 32GB of RAM with an M.2 SSD. The game barely goes past 20 FPS, and when it does, it's in space when I'm looking away from objects of interest. Not to mention the FPS stutters are insane, with many scenes constantly going from 1 to 20 FPS instantaneously. Even with my M.2 SSD the loading screens are about 40-60 seconds long, which is insane and honestly unacceptable for 2023.

I've also encountered many game breaking bugs, mostly map based, one namely where my trajectories were permanently gone and had to work the ship's orbital mechanics manually which was interesting. The fix involved restarting my entire save game from scratch. This game isn't fun, but rather headache inducing in its current state.

It's a shocking disappointment, considering how long we've had to wait, and how hyped up the community was by the developers, but they've failed to pull through and the game shows it. I honestly have so much faith in them to fix these issues, but for such a steep price tag, and a barely comfortably-playable game, I can't recommend it.

Edit: 5th of July, 2024
The game has been abandoned by the publisher, and all developers have been laid off.

If you're expecting some flashy intense jump scares, you'll definitely find a few of those within this. The true horror of this game, however, is instead gradually administered to the player.

The effects of being alone at a Radio Telescope Array, the lack of atmospheric sound/music, the creepy and chilling audio from the signals you analyse, as well as dozens of other calculated and random events (i.e, being forced to repair some of the Radio dishes at night), all culminate into an often terrifying psychological horror game.

As a side note for any Radio Astronomy nerds, this game is pretty spot on with the more Science and Technology focused areas. Signals will come from specific places and star/planet types, and you must zero in to them using the radio knobs, and the Radio Dish movements. All signals initially come in as Binary code, and they must be downloaded and deciphered by the automated computer system. Power management allows you to increase power to one of three systems; antenna strength, coordinates, and download speed. Power is maintained by a generator which gets deliveries from a Helicopter every day or so, and a field of solar panels which must be cleaned to maximise efficiency.

All in all, great game. 10/10

DayZ has had it's ups and downs, but it's safe to say that it's actually quite a good game.

- Most of the bugs from Early Access have been fixed
- Mod Support has been added
- Much better game stability & gameplay handling.

Although it was in development for quite a long time,
I'd say it was worth it. Fully recommended!

Universe Sandbox ², features a wild and amazing array of different objects in space.
This might even include your favourite star, planet or moon!
Until the Moon crashes face-front into the Earth, making a large, cataclysmic, awe-filled collision.
But then! A black-hole is spawned, and sucks everything into it's orbit, or into the event horizon.

The possibilities are legit endless with this amazingly beautiful and well crafted game.
I would highly recommend this to anyone, who enjoys fun, space and alot of collisions.

Enjoy!
