This game is meant to be played on Classic + Ironman for true immersive experience.

This game when played in Ironman will make you realize the horrors of war.
You build a roster of promising soldiers, you train them, you'll rely on them, you'll be confident of their abilities, some will become legends and you'll grow attached to them.

But that's when reality will hit you, because the truth is... some of them will not be able to see the end of the war that banded them together.

Aliens don't care whether you named one of your soldiers as your real life friends, one terrible mistake will cost the entire mission or squad members, 98% chance doesn't guarantee a Hit! sacrifice is necessary, you'll be put into difficult situations.

This is the best and wackiest immersive Total War Game, its Old but Gold.
It's the first total war game I played.

Sometimes this game is hilarious, you can piss off the pope and get excommunicated (in which you'll get F'cked), you can have a merciless general that became a cuckold when his wife cheated on him. it has the same Total War formula of conquering and building an empire, but what I miss the most in newer total war games is the general speeches before battle.

There is one battle where I used my perverted general and this is a line he delivered before battle "And if you should happen to come across a particularly lovely young woman in need of my protection-well, scrub her clean and send her to my tent! Battles give me two things: a powerful thirst.....and the horn. Let's to this lark then lads!" Jeezus what type of general would be so HORNIE before a battle?!?!

This is one of my favorite Strategy games, it's the game I go back to whenever I want good brain pounding.
It has a perfectly balanced rock paper and scissor mechanics in any strategy games I played.

What makes this game charming is that you can still beat a superior and large army even when
your armies are made up of peasants with sticks, you win by effectively using terrain,
weather, proper timings, flanking, maneuvers and morale, in this game your general matters!
you will feel attached to your general and troops, specially if you grind them through many battles.
This is literally a legit Art of War Simulator, you will feel like Sun Tzu when you beat a powerful opponent.
in this game you win by using your wits! without making it too complex for you to understand.

Plus! The Community Workshop is what gives this more replayibility!

This is the reason why this game is one of the Greatest Strategy Games of All Time.
(If you want to get into Total War games this is the first game to start! trust me.)

Been playing this game on and off for the past 10 years,
and all I can say that this is the best Zombie coop game I played.
its also a good low end PC game! it still has a solid community.

but what makes this game fun is the tons of MODS and Workshop Maps!
its what makes this game have a replayability factor 10!
its super fun with friends! once you played coop with discord mic, single player will be boring.

Still cant forget the 1st multiplayer match I played with my friend playing as OKW 4v4,
we are terribly losing the match because the enemy relied too much on tanks,
we found out the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sturmpioneer + Panzershrek SPAM, the enemy got mad pissed.
we got noise complaint because we are screaming at 12AM because it was our first win.

Its Great Game no doubt and an active community but there are CONS:
- MICROTRANSACTIONS SUCKS, CAPITALIST PIGS.
- Intel Bulletins doesn't make sense
- US, British and OKW factions are not free.
- The game is micro-intensive for new and casual RTS players. (buy the first one instead it's great for beginners)
- overhaul mods are less, unlike the first game which makes it more fun.

Overall I give it 8.5/10, for smiling ASCII Stalin.

Best PTSD Simulator in the Market!

This game is hardcore, you'll never know what hit you until you're dead, either it's a bullet from your enemy or your friend.
one time I got a flamethrower and accidentally torched my team mate, I'll never forget the screams I heard that day.
be careful on using the RPG it'll blow your team mates behind, trust me.
Punji Sticks I love these feces covered Sticks, they'll be your best friend.
