Endling is a powerful emotional journey following the life of a fox raising her cubs in a world destroyed by pollution and corruption. You experience the world first hand as you struggle everyday through a wasteland to feed your cubs and teach them the necessary skills to survive. It's through this intimate fight for survival, and witnessing the harshness and selfishness of others that builds a bond with the characters, and specifically your cubs. While I can't do Endling the justice it deserves in a review, I implore anyone who loves an emotionally involved tale to try Endling.

The talented developers at Herobeat crafted a heartbreaking, yet beautiful story here with many layers to it: showing us what may become of our planet if we continue to treat it how we do, impact of humanity and the beauty and resilience of nature. As well as showing that compassion and caring can still exist in the bleakest moments of life. While a short game, it is a definite must play that was unfortunately overshadowed when it released around the same time as Stray. Both are great games, but I feel much more connected to the message Endling makes.
