LOWER END SYSTEMS:
I'm only 20-30 hours in, but the game is extremely unoptimized at the moment for lower end systems. I'm using a 1660Ti, 32GB ram, and without "performance mods / fixes", the game crashes every 10-15 minutes (ie: you have to install Ascendio from nexus mods, modify the Engine.ini & CChromaEditorLibrary64.dll, turn on GPU "Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling", & change some Nvidia Global Settings). After the above performance fixes, the game (mostly) stops crashing, but I have to run it on 720p, with AMD 2 Upscale, Good Preset, (RTX off obviously). Anything higher, and the game crashes every 10-15 minutes again. Every time the game updates, I have to reinstall the performance mods. Denuvo DRM continually runs in the background, in short it scans your system looking for any tampering in the game files. Even though Empress (a cracker) recently "removed Denuvo DRM", there was no real performance gain, because the crack can only bypass Denuvo, but it continues to constantly run in the background. For those of you running the game at 120+ fps, a ~20fps performance gain is negligible, but for someone like me who barely runs the game at 20fps, it would be double the performance. It constantly stutters during cutscenes, and when loading new scenes.

Don't get me wrong, I've really enjoyed the game post-fixes, the world is beautiful, and feels far more expansive than the movies, and for any Harry Potter fan -- it's nothing short of a childhood dream come true. But I would not recommend the game right now, or at full price. There's many other issues like the female models all use a copy-pasted Male animation rigs & weights, causing unexpected results, like the female models grimacing, making malicious, witch like faces in-game (Google it), and running around like a hooligan with no grace or femininity at all. There's no White / Pale Caucasian or Black skin tones, it starts from tan & ends at a dark brown. All these bugs are listed on the Hogwarts DB and will potentially be worked on in future, but modders seem to be addressing them way faster than developers are. I'd say give it 6-12 months and wait for a sale, hopefully WB removes Denuvo, and the game is in a much optimised state after updates & fixes. Otherwise, we're going to have to rely on the modding community to better the game. I will amend this review once the game is in a better place and I only discourage it in it's current state, and on lower end systems.

P.s If you have a higher end system, have FOMO / fear of missing out, and want to talk about it with friends, by all means get it.

Out of the unfortunate amounts of degenerate filth in "Visual Novel “+” Romance" tag (you know what I'm talking about), This game was truly a beacon of pure light. So innocent, genuine, pure, heartwarming... THE FLUFFING DUCKING FEELS MAN. Delivered though perfect, ethereal voice acting (Japanese). I was often compelled to savor the experience at half my pace, as the music, paired with the sense of mood and color, and divine CGs created an ambience you'd actually want to immerse yourself into and dwell in, especially during the delicate bits. The game makes you think and contemplate, short as it was (4-5 hours), it was an experience that left me with more than I paid for.

Cons:
- Mom saw me crying.

The Walking Dead is just one hell of a visual novel more than anything; making you feel like every decision you make matters, sometimes even critically altering the whole narrative. The writing is very strong and is sure to take you on an emotional journey through this world where the living live amongst the dead. The visual style is bold! Like a living, breathing comic book. This game will send ripples through your “feels” and will leave you wanting more! GET THIS !!
