I will not describe the gameplay in this review as the voted as most helpful review (https://steamproxy.net/id/tmwarwolf/recommended/319050/), does a beautiful job of that, that I won't be able to top. I just want to add something. While enjoyable in single player, the bread and butter of this game is in its multi-player modes. That's the reason I will advise anybody, after getting themselves familiar with the mechanics to jump into multiplayer.  Being a small indie game, released some time ago, not surprisingly the multiplayer population is low and waiting for an opponent can take quite some time, but fortunately the game offers some ways around that problem. First, for example, you can send a duel challenge and then start a realm game (single-player like user generated challenges). That way, while playing in the realm, when the game finds you an opponent it will send you to the duel and after its conclusion, will return you back. Realm games are interesting in themselves, as akin to Dark Souls, you can allow player invasion (that way playing the battles against human wizards instead of the AI) or you can summon other players for help. Of course, you can be the invader/helper yourself. The game also allows you to have asynchronous battles (log in - take you turn - play other mode or log out - receive notification, when the opponent has completed their turn and so on). And also you can join official Discord server and find an opponent there or join some of the tournaments, that are periodically organized. So yes, if you are into some complex, turned based wizard battles jump right into the fray.
