Despite some small performance hiccups, and some microtransactions that make no difference but everyone's getting pissy about, this is the game Dragons Dogma 1 was supposed to be. And as such, it's phenomenal.

While the game still needs work, especially when it comes to the loot mechanics, the foundations are extremely solid, and Fatshark have a history of supporting their games for years.

Is it perfect? No. Is it a really nice combination of Fable, Beyond Good and Evil, with some Kingdom Hearts in the combat? Yes. Is it worth price of admission? If you can ignore some problems, and accept that it's not a AAA level of polish, then absolutely.
