to me it has connotations of life, as it is long and empty until you reach the final conclusion only to be bitterly disappointed as you've wasted all that time scrolling and doing your day to day activities to be simply left with a period. The period could perhaps represent the author's perception of humans as if to say on the grand scheme of things we are vaguely insignificant. wait you're European, okay i mean full stop not period.
