What a game! I wanted to get some hours under my belt before writing a review. I have to admit. I've never played SDV so, nothing to compare it to. What I can say is that this game is awesome! I got my steamdeck last week and immediately got this game. I just knew it was going to be great. The skill trees are great, the mining, fishing, exploring nd romances are great. 20 hours and I have yet to read the same dialogue twice, I kid you not. The story is great and engaging so far, this game can do no wrong. Keep up the work devs, this is better than a spicy cheddar biscuit!

Purchased the complete edition for 3USD and holy smokes. I purchased water more expensive than that, and that wasn't even .01% as fun as this. You own a shop and can either use your resources to craft, upgrade or sell for coin. That freedom really helps the grind feel like less of a grind and more of a chess match. Do I want a new sword or potion or upgrade!?!?! ahhhh!!! It's all so enticing. Overall 10/10, incredible little game!

I had no idea this game existed until a few days ago. I was excited for AC: Shadows until I stumbled across this. I am no longer excited, Ubisoft can lick it or ticket. Masterpiece

First time ever playing this game. I feel that have wasted my life on playing games that were so called "classics" like Baldurs Gate 3, Hogwarts Legacy, Halo, Super Mario and so many more. Everything I've ever wanted in a game is right here. This is the true ultimate, the chosen one if you will, of video games. This has the democracy of Helldivers, The rush of need for speed and the RPG of the best titles out there. If you have not plated ATS, why even own a computer? This is my Day 1 review of many many more years to come.

As someone new to Homeworld (Okay not entirely new, I played Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak) I have to say I am enjoying this game. I honestly feel that Baldurs Gate 3 has set a tone for what games must be now to be great, and sure, an incredible game that was, I dumped HOURS into it in just 1 play through, sure! But why do I say this? I say it because it sets an unrealistic tone for other games which I believe is unfair. Homeworld has so far been not just a fun game (I have played tons of RTS games both on console and PC) but this has also been a beautiful design with a so far, beautiful story. I have read that the campaign will be short, that's okay. I read multiplayer is somewhat dead, that's okay as well (Side note, you can play solo online, like alone in a private lobby solo).

This game is beautiful, inspiring and honestly, I purchased the Fleet Command Edition (Again, not having ever played Homeworld 1 or 2) why did I do this? Because I wanted to support a game that I knew would be great and great it has been! I'm excited to continue playing, seeing the mods in the future and seeing what comes down the road for the year expansion.

If you go into this game with the right mindset, you will have a great time. If you go into it expecting a revolutionary game, with nostalgia baked in, then I will admit, you might be very disappointing. I'll admit, the price could be knocked down 20 bucks or so, as the base game is solid at $30, it feels a bit stretched at $50- but again, I like the work the devs did and I don't mind having contributed the amount that I did.

All in, if you like RTS games, if you like space, if you like a beautiful story, design and music, then this game is for you. Should you hold out for a sale? Maybe, bur I truly believe this game is a masterpiece, you just need to look at it through a different lens :).

What a fun game! For early access, this seems pretty well polished but there are a few gripes!

First and foremost, the gameplay and graphics are fantastic! I'm running a 4070 Super so your experience may vary, but it is honestly such a beautiful little game!

Now the gripes I have are the "Hub" where you start at, as it looks very cartoonish and not a good representation of the graphics during gameplay, I would love to see the spruced up! Second, matchmaking is a bit slow and at times it throws you into the middle of a game (It's almost like someone was playing against AI and then you took over the AI spot). It's very sporadic but I'm sure as more players join this is cease. Lastly, I would love to see a campaign, perhaps I missed it but it's all PvE/PvP with no story which is a shame, still fun but feels very mobile game status, please add a story!

Overall, if you are a fan of RTS, Board Games, Clash Games, Lane Battlers, then this will be your new favorite! Being able to do it all in VR is just the cherry on top!

Fantastic game, I bought a new laptop 3 days ago and this was my first purchase. I knew good and well the servers would become less of an issue pretty quickly and I was right! Overall this game is fan-freakn-tastic my dudes. Get this for yourself, your wife, your side chick and your unborn child. I've never felt more american playing a game (Other than hospital simulator, where you mix capitalism and healthcare, super fun! But not as fun as : For FREEDOM and LIBERTY!!
