I genuinely cannot describe this game as anything other than art in its purest form . It is an experience that you could only have in a game.
You could be fooled into thinking that this is just a walking / lore simulator , but this game hides something much greater . It is a contained universe that not only has rules for you to follow, but rules for you to break. If you can see it you can explore it , if you can imagine how it works then you can manipulate it. What you see is not how things are.

The best way i can describe it is the same way people describe portal ; you need to learn to think with portals. With the outer wilds , you need to learn to think in 4 dimensions.

If you don't know how to think in 4 dimensions then follow the lore of the game and really try to understand what it is trying to tell you , these aren't just stories but instructions on how bend the universe in unexpected ways.

Be curious and patient and you will have an experience unlike any other you have had in gaming .

If you have never been THE ONE before, now is your chance !

i cant say anything that hasn't already been written about this game other than .... its like playing a movie. all your decisions matter in smaller ways, not everything you do will contribute to your ending, sometimes the effects are smaller but still as noticeable.

probably the best personal teaching tool i have used. I've been playing this for about 4 years now an i can play pretty much anything i can put my hand to thanks to how this game teaches you. absolutely worth your time and money, just don't forget to buy the real tone cable.

I cannot express how much in enjoyed my time playing this game, at first i thought it was just another craft based open world game.....but as i went deeper i found so much more than that. The story is well thought out and organically told in a way that reminds me of my first time playing super metroid all those years ago. There are worlds within worlds which have their own distinct mood and dangers . the game begs to you to continue based on pure curiosity of what lurks just beyond the darkness and delivers every time with its dream like biomes.

This game is worth your time if you are willing and curious enough of explore without having your hand held.
