fun, scary and great to troll friends

the only downside is 3 levels so far, and 3 monsters.... all can be challenging when you least expect them to

please dev(s) keep making this

after Sony chose to change their ridiculous plan to push a forced sign up to PSN for Steam users to link their accounts... I will say that this is a good move, and for future reference to any company attempting to do practices like this.... LEARN from this... remember that while you hold the cards on which game gets made and released, we hold the cards on whether or not it becomes successful...

as such we thank you for seeing sense on this matter.... now I will do what many others will most likely do and leave this positive amendment

very deep immersive story, lore rich and true to franchise lore, i have only 2 gripes with the game....
it would be

1) Pulse Rifle and Smartgun sounds aren't close to the iconic Aliens film ones ( but that can be over looked)

2) a lack of coop mode (this one could actually expand on the replayability quite a fair bit)

3) the marines become too stressed and tired far too quickly (but again not overly game breaking)

other than those two things with #1 not being as much an issue... the game plays smooth, has a lot of intense moment and unlike some games if not most in the genre, it actually has a functional stealth system and cover system that actually matters....

with that being said, i am thoroughly enjoying the game, level design is spot on... lighting goes above and beyond too
as for the story... well i'm hooked... and if you're a fan of the franchise and like RTS style games with a familiar feel... this has almost everything you could want... or everything if you want a single player solo experience

brings back memories of original Rainbow 6 games, with the much slower pace of the originals and addition of customisable weapons and loadouts, a fair few maps to keep you hooked, and for an early access game similar to the likes of Zero Hour, of which both have a lot of potential, this one allows you to set up your weapon loadout before the missions begin. a very intuitive and beginner friendly multiplayer system allowing for options to cater for each individuals needs...
if you want to do a single player, select it.. you'll be assigned 4 AI squad mates, whereby if you do your weapon loadout pre game you can customise each of them to combat different requirements.
if you just want to play a random public game, you have the option for that too...

or just click friends, it will place you in a lobby where you'll only be able to invite friends.

AI can be derpy at times but for the most part they can be a real challenge, with some civillians not being what they seem.

if you like the more traditional slower pace of classic R6 or Ghost Recon games... then you will love this... if you are looking for a more faster paced gameplay... this may not be what you will enjoy unless you want a challenge more

realistic, fun and every evolving... a more truer experience in what it represents than pretty much most combat simulations out there

so much has happened since i purchased this game, it has come on leaps and bounds, yes there is still room for improvements and a couple or so things i can see would benefit this game but a few things off top of my head i would like to see...
the coal heater to accept wood or a separate wood burner....
the ability to place the torches into the ground or on side of buildings or creation of candles/none oil/powered light sources, this would help very early on and at the cost of a little resources it might be a good addition to the game...
include a quick button to add required resources to the workbenches, so if you have the items in your back pack, and you select the item you want to build it will take what is needed from you and you just press build...
option for more arrows on bulk items

and carbs on meat

birds to give small amount of meat (1)
foxes 2, 1 hide
sheep 3, 1 hide
Wolves 3, 1 hide
boar 4, a bit more animal fat 2 hide
bear 5, a lot more animal fat and 3 hide

and a co op mode if possible

other than these things or rather despite these i'm really enjoying the game so thank you dev's for a thoroughly enjoyable and challenging game :)
and it's great to see dev's devoted to their work, and amazing work it is :)

saw this being played on Youtube then instantly wanted to get the game...
after playing with a good friend of mine over discord (not using the ingame voice until we got used to it) we were impressed by the atmosphere of the game, the Rake had been set up by my mate to run as AI which i thought was a great idea as it does allow for the potential of friends playing or soloing if you cant find anyone else to be the monster, and if you dont want to go play against others being the Rake.

the darkness and outright heart stopping fear when it goes near you, or you hear it closeby, or even when it finally grabs you is terrifying... i swear I didn't need the toilet before but found i may have gone anyway.

i stood perfectly still as it walked by, but think i may have made contact with it as it passed, I literally screamed in the most unbrave way, I heard my butt let out a violently loud rumble, frantically hit the key for the flash bang, and my character got more cardio than a 12 time olympic decathelon winner... and i just could not speak....
all i heard for about 5 minutes after was "Ace? you ok? Ace? you dead?..... Ace can you answer?"
I physically could not speak i swear after expelling gas my butthole clenched so tight my eyes almost shot out my head and ran the risk of getting a multikill

awesome game... if i could say anything that i would suggest to add or improve the experience any, it would be
1) the ability to change key controls
2) more maps
3) a bit faster crawl walk
4) a compass to find and equip that doesn't fill up the inventory slots

otherwise omg this game is awesome and a great laugh

considering I hadn't (as far as i can recall) heard much of this game until i got an email from steam, i installed it as it looked similar to Space Engineers, but with more realism and focus on survival like Stationeers, which aren't bad things, in fact that is what drew me in... and after playing it soon became clear that that is where those similarities fade off.... it is more realistic than many other survival games I've played and this is a good thing as i love realism in survival games, though doing the tutorial and operating the crane had me stumped a bit, as couldn't extend the arm to reach a bit further out, i had to raise the crane itself after parking the rover closer to what i wanted to pick up.... now as i said I love the realism, and i also love a challenge... this game so far has ticked all the boxes for what i look for in a survival sandbox game, and i see great potential within its' future... I hope though a later release will include a co op mode and maybe even a sequel which could include other planets and moons too...

i would give this at current state 5 out of 5, cos despite it being an early version, it has all the hallmarks of what can possibly be the best Survival sandbox space game

and as such i have recommended it to friends

a fun, intense, thought and panic inducing game, which encourages teamwork and discourages lonewolf style of gameplay...
no 2 play through's are ever the same... items are never in the same place and neither are the enemies and it is one where i will recommend flash light discipline, and plenty of communication
Run and gun just gets you and your team slaughtered.... yes I'm on about you Morph!!! lol glow sticks here mate

this game has shown a lot of promise since i first started playing it around a14 and has only gotten better with time.
there are a few issues as you would need to expect, being an Alpha, but those aren't game breaking and the Devs are listening so it helps to contact them if you find anything problematic....

as for the game play, it plays well, and this more recent update really keeps you on the edge of your seat
the undead are manageable in low numbers but its virtual suicide when you are overwhelmed with them
panic fire tends to be my go to way of dealing with a hoard.
also great game if you are constipated, just sayin'
