I'll say this upfront. I highly recommend this game, but give it a patch or two. There are a few polish concerns and one or two very frustrating glitches in the game.

First, the good:
This game is absolutely adorable. The art style is great and lends itself well to the subject matter. Every one of the Paleofolk are unique enough to recognize at a glance. All of the personality quirks and speech patterns are very endearing, and they're fun to interact with. The shop mechanics are, for the most part, intuitive and easy to understand. It's very satisfying to either go through a whole line of customers to haggle, or deliver a bunch of custom orders in a row. The sound effects and music are top-notch and satisfying as well. Once you reach the main section of the game, the gameplay loop is engaging and entertaining.

Now, the bad:
The game feels a little rough around the edges. Not enough to stop gameplay, but enough to take you out of it just a little bit. The UI isn't as responsive as it feels like it should be, especially in the crafting and town decoration interfaces, requiring all UI animations to be finished before you can switch to a different item. Navigating the maps while placing decorations is also rather clunky. Occasionally at the end of a shop day, the tips customers leave on the display counters will just stay there until you leave the building. Rug items do not display properly on the counters. None of these alone are game- or even immersion-breaking, but the sum total is just enough to take me out of the game just a bit.

Now, the glitch I mentioned earlier. During long play sessions, the barter system fully breaks down. After several hours of playing, customers will simply not accept -any- offers for barter, no matter how low, or even if the "accept [counter]offer" button is pressed. Their refusal will continue until they get mad and give up, and then the next customer will do it as well. This happened to me multiple times during my play sessions, and closing then reopening the game did usually fix it. I think it might have something to do with the daily trend? Not sure, but it was frustrating enough to make me stop playing.

Overall this is a very fun, cute game that's got a few small issues (and one moderately-sized one) keeping it from being an unconditional recommendation. I sincerely hope these issues can be addressed soon.
