It's basically Warframe except with pretty people.

Others seem to be indicating that the game has Destiny 2's monetization, but that has yet to be seen.

It's really hard to say what hasn't already been said. The game is amazing, and the modding community is second only to Minecraft itself. If the game even remotely interests you, go for it.

This is really one of the greatest RPGs of all time. It's the cumulation of years of work by CDPR to tell a great story across Witcher 1 and Witcher 2. The expansions just make everything even better. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll want more. Most importantly in an RPG, you'll love and hate the characters.

A surprisingly good game. I didn't expect much for a remake of an old Duke Nukem-era game. The story is actually rather cliche yet entertaining. The gameplay is solid and impactful. The level design is never boring; I never found myself getting annoyed at *yet another* arena with tons of enemies. The swarms of flying enemies did get a bit annoying, however.

The character Lo Wang starts off as an immature annoying ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but he surprisingly mellows out over time. His constant spouts of dialogue don't really get too annoying and aren't too constant.

Admittedly it's a bit dated for the $40 price tag, but if you enjoy fast-paced FPS games, pick this up on sale.

Controls are a bit clunky and it feels like a console port. It's rather annoying that the action key to pick up weapons on the ground is the same key to heal yourself from enemy bodies. You'll often find yourself swapping away weapons you never wanted to swap away in the middle of a fight. Also annoyingly, that same key is to pick up black holes.

Otherwise, a rather enjoyable game. Somewhat short, but satisfying. Ending has decent closure, but the sequel cliffhanger is awful.

Graphics are hit-or-miss. The game is old by today's standards, but the cell-chaded comic-book style rather works.

Plus, it's made by the same people that made Warframe, and you'll see people from the Warframe team in the credits. Always fun to see that.

Would recommend, but with many caveats.

The game looks great for a point-and-click adventure game. It's atmospheric and sounds nice.
Past the first two rooms, everything is much better if you're willing to bear the nonsensical beginning 5-30min (depending on how lucky you are clicking around).
The final puzzle is actually rather well done and requires you to accumulate knowledge and lore you've gathered across all the areas.
Also, can't beat the great-great price of "Free".

Problems:
- Sound is inconsistent fading to barely audible to extremely loud.
- Main character is annoying. The voice acting is fine and great, but the main character is just unlikable.
- Some puzzles are nonsensical. You'll find yourself randomly combining items in your inventory and clicking all over the place hoping for something that works.
- Game has a few bugs. Be sure to manually save occasionally.
- Cutscenes are a bit too common and sometimes unecessary. I don't need a 3sec cutscene showing an explosion when it could have just been done in-game.

Finally, it's not a problem, but the game ties heavily into another game by this developer. Cayne is a free game that works as a great demo/intro to Stasis.

If you can look over the shortcomings, it's a fun and short romp.

When game is launched, it defaults you to a launcher with an annoying nagging popup telling you to stream the game.

Game's title screen is blank and white with the only resolution being to quickly Shift-Tab back and forth for a split-second of being able to see the menus. Forums show that this has been an issue for the game for months now.

Game is broken.

It's really hard to recommend this game at least until they fix the PC port.

One of the most fundamental actions in the game, dodging, is bound to a double tap of a direction key and you're not able to rebind it. This makes timing a dodge extremely difficult for almost no reason.

Whenever a tooltip pops up telling you to press a default key, it's an unintuitve key on the keyboard. For example, "\", the key above ENTER, is bound to 'heavy attack' by default. You're told to press it for a simple attack. Only through trial and error do you realize it's also bound to right mouse button.

The mouse aiming is invisible at times and your character will end up getting confused mid-dash/dodge and turn around if they go past the point of your mouse.

Textures of many things that matter such as characters and faces are amazing. The textures on the floor and walls are incredibly poor. This seems to be a PC-only problem.

The game has a constant problem resizing itself and insisting on playing in Windowed mode.

Also, the Steam trading cards give away some spoilers like the names and existence of major characters.

It's just an overall poor PC port. Game seems enjoyable otherwise, but you're going to have to take some effort modding the game or running gamepad emulation if you want to play normally. Until the developer fixes these issues, it's hard to recommend the game to anybody.

A wholly satisfying story through and through. Pretty much the entirety of the game banks on the story alone, and there it succeeds. People that enjoy metaphysical concepts and the philosophy of being human will enjoy this. People that want gameplay alone probably will not.

The gameplay, however, is okay. Your tasks are often very linear and you're not really encouraged to go out of your way to explore things. There is the occasional thing to read, but the vast majority of the lore is along the way to your current objectives. It's very linear, but seems necessary to drive the story.

The enemies are probably the game's weakest points. At worst, they simply get in the way of the storyline. There were points where I'd poke an audio recording and hide in a corner listening to it as the monster came to investigate the noise. The monsters themselves are also very easy. Once you understand their gimmick, and they all have gimmicks, they're very fomulaic.

The worst part is that this isn't a horror game. Perhaps it's just a personal thing, but compared to the fleshy and eldritch horror of Amnesia, the enemies here seemed extremely tame. Nothing about this game was scary. If you're coming for a horror experience and you're accustomed to horror games, you're not really going to find it here. This game exists purely for the story.

That being said, if you want a solid plot with some heavy themes and decent pacing, this game is for you.

An amazingly cinematic game with great graphics, plot, and gameplay.

For those who have played STALKER, it's thematically very similar in almost every way, but instead of being open-world, you're railroaded on set pieces. The game has many moments of down time and exposition.

It's also noticeably easier than Metro 2033. Higher difficulty settings may be recommended primarily because many of the human opponents are exceptionally easy to take down. Mutants, less so.

Also it's wroth noting that the game can get very disgusting at times, but that's more of a personal preference. For people that play a decent amount of horror games, it's not scary in the slightest, but there are some tense moments. For people creeped out by horror anything or find spiders to be unbearable, this may be an issue.

Fans of stealth may find the system a bit easy with throwing knives being the go-to. However, achievements discourage killing, so there is replayability there.

Overall, it's thematic and wholly recommendable for people that like this type of game.
