I'll make it short:

This game is really good!
As a standalone, this is - at least for me - a very interesting new kind of horror experience with a nice story.
As part of the RE-franchise, this is a totally new approach to the series. Right at the point (2/3 of the game) where I started to ask myself: "what the hell has this to do with Resident Evil?" the bits and pieces came slowly together.

This game is nicely balanced, gameplay and storywise.

I really like it and do recommend it
