This has been one of the best games in general that I have played in a very long time.

I bought this on a whim and somehow managed to avoid spoilers for a game that fully released for six months.
And I am so very happy that I did that.

This game is what you point to when you wanna say "Games don't need good graphics" because this made me feel everything that a multi-ended horror game should. Dread, terror, sympathy & hatred, pity, catharsis &, in the event of a very specific ending, utter hopelessness.

One thing I do appreciate is that it explores matters of Faith without outright critiquing Christianity. I don't mind a challenge to my faith as how does ones faith grow without being challenged? But it gets very old, very fast in this increasingly secular and skeptic world we live in.

If it wasn't obvious (as of writing this review) my profile, I really relate to the struggle of Father Ward. I think this was the lowest point in my life when it came to my faith as of now. Playing this and getting all three endings in Ch.3 has really given me hope. If Ward, a man who cannot run regularly, face life or death situations with Daemons and come out spiritually better for it, so can I.

So I'd like to Thank Airdorf. So very much for this horror masterpiece.

Elden Lean
is the Newest In a line of “Soulslike” games from Developer “FromSoftware” Developers of the Award Winning Game Series’ like Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro.
I won't tell that Onion Ring Feels like Dark Souls IV because that is a Self Evident Truth to those who Have Played The Game. Just so we’re clear, I do not care that FromSoft Reused Some Assets. Not Broken? Don’t Fix it.

GAYMEPLAYE A:
Like DS2 and 3 Had a baby, this takes the Idea of the weapon from the DS3 Camp, from the basics of swinging the thing to Weapon Arts that Consume FP upon their use. DS2 Comes into the Equation when Powerstancing comes into play. Yes Powerstancing makes a Triumphant Return. The Unique Changes That Sheldon Ring brings to the table is

GAYMEPLAYE B: THE OPEN WORLD
I wasted More than 270 Hours of my life on Three Different Playthroughs for this review and I cannot say I regret it. And Even then, I can’t Say that I found everything. In all three of those playthroughs COMBINED There were somethings that I missed. You just get lost in it so easily and Torrent is a great way to get around. And Like our favorite African Warlord Youtuber said, it was a genius way to avoid Piracy.

GAYMEPLAYE C: INTERCHANGEABLE WEAPON ARTS
I feel like this one is as Self explanatory as it gets. Don’t like A Weapons base weapon art? SLAP A NEW ONE ON IT. My Favorite Weapon Art is Lightning Ram. You Roll around like a hedgehog on Crack Cocaine and Vibe so hard, you Generate enough static electricity to boot up a gaming PC with an RTX 3090 TI.

STORY:
There is SO much Crazy ♥♥♥♥ packed into this game that I cannot I don’t wanna take the time to list it all off. I’ll Just give you my Favorite Side story.

The Demi-god Miquella Was minding his own Business with his sister Malenia in a totally PG Slice of Life Anime Scenario. No Weird Hentai Shenanigans Going on. Just Miq Trying to water a tree with his own Blood. Totally normal and Rational thing for your twin to Support. That didn’t work. So Miquella in His INFINITE WISDOM tried Grafting himself to the Haligtree. Then out of Nowhere, this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ name “Mohg” rips Miq from the tree and Kidnaps him. Mohg won’t shut up about his “New Dynasty” like he's some sort of king. Miquella is then Repeatly Raped by Mogh in an Attempt to bear a child, because… Because Mohg is too high on the spectrum to tell that Miquella is a Dude. This story might have inspired a sense of pity in me, IF Mogh Had a Higher IQ than a Pickled Sausage.

Oh uhhh, Spoilers I Guess…

COMPLAINTS:
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 3:10
We… Aren’t Perfect. And that Extends to our Creations. I’ll admit. I am Completely Biased and I don’t Care. I love this game and will gladly worship Bandai Namco's Nut Hair, but there are flaws that Even I am aware of.

BALANCING:
There are some Bosses that Just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Baffel me as to HOW there were allowed to be let into the final product. No Jokes, no laughs, Malenia Probably took me 10 Hours to beat on the First time. If I have to respec TWICE and find and upgrade a weapon I don’t want, I think she has to go back to the Grinding wheel. As of 1.07, I still must resort to Cheese. Kentaro Miura, Pls fix.

That’s it. That’s all I have to Complain about. That’s also the End of this review. Would I Recommend Wedding Ring? Yes.

10/10. I’m Completely Biased and Idgaf.

I just Finished the Base Game and Both parts of "Burial at Sea"(B@S) and I must say that I am Awestruck at how well this game turned out to be. (Just a little Context, I am playing the games out of order so this is my 1st Bioshock game, oh and I was playing on Medium)

Gameplay wise, I found it to be a little bit inventive with some concepts like Vigors/Eves and the Tear system (Primarily the base game) but it seems to be your typical early 2010s shooter. I only found myself dying towards the end in the main story but there was a massive difficulty spike in B@S Pt.1. I died more than I'd like to admit due to dealing with more tanky and hard hitting enemies with a severely reserved ammo pool. Granted you can carry more than two weapons so that alleviates that. B@S Pt.2 Made for a delightful change in pace with its focus on on stealth rather than Head on Combat. Overall, the gameplay is Great in some places but mostly nothing to write home about

The Design of Infinite absolutely beautiful. It's early 1900's architecture and artistry retrofitted with a Steampunk twist makes for, what I would consider, one of the most unique settings in fiction. From the tower that harbored Elizabeth down to the broadsider. Same thing said for B@S but instead following a more 1920s-1930s Style of Art Deco with stylized alternatives for the base game weapons, even adding its own weapons Exclusive to B@S.

I come off as a simple man to those who Initially meet me. But the stories I love are anything but simple. If your like me, then you will love this cluster♥♥♥♥ of a story that deals with quantum physics, time travel, alternate universes, fate, and familial complications. Despite the story's relatively short duration, it was such a delightfully beautiful and shocking story that it had me sat there in complete silence at times, trying to process what the ♥♥♥♥ I had done and bore witness to.

(Spoilers for Burial at Sea)
Burial at Sea honestly broke me. I found myself physically recoiling when Atlas had Elizabeth ready for a lobotomy. Each tap of his hammer, making me want to look away more. And the ending of Burial at Sea was so... Bitter... This is likely because I have yet to play the other games but I felt a bit down after seeing Elizabeth die. But hey, an excuse to spend another $40!

Buy it, Buy It RIGHT NOW!

Before I start this Review, I want to preface this with a sentence that will be the Crux of this entire Review.
Dark Souls 2 is a good game, but not a good Souls game.

Let's Break that Down.

"DARK SOULS 2 IS A GOOD GAME..."
Yes, it is a good game. While bringing back its notorious challenge and Dark, depressing lore, DS2 offers new things to the whole experience; like a more simple, streamlined weapon making system, a new and improved engine, and new mechanics, like Power Stancing. The game offers a Smooth 60 FPS experience in a beautiful world to explore, with weapons and armor, both with old classics, and new favorites to find, and challenging boss fights, as well as 4 DLCs that expand further on everything that the story has to give. DS2 is certainly worth the price.

PROS:
+Updated Engine
+New Mechanics
+Near Constant 60FPS
+Beautiful World
+New Lore
+Both Classic and New Weapons and Armor
+Amazing DLCs

"...BUT NOT A GOOD SOULS GAME"
Yes, as much as DS2 is a good game, it deviates from the formula that DS1 had too far, that it hampers the experience. That is not to say that some deviation isn't good. DS3 did fairly well, however, that still wasn't able to catch lightning in a bottle like DS1 did, but enough about them. The updated game engine is superior for performance, however, the movement of your character, as well as enemy AI, make for a frustrating and non immersive experience. One example I had was with the first Dragonrider fight. Everyone knows it, watch the glitch video here at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44J5XWJ7q7U. That, however, was after I had died due to the momentum of my character flinging me off the cliff after admiring a vista. The world is beautiful, but seems almost too empty, even for a Soulsborne game. A few more NPCs would have helped. However, the lore when taken apart from Dark Souls 1, seems to be plagiaristic of DS1. While DS2, in fact, seems more like bad fanfiction, rather than an official entry into the series, I found myself completely uninvested in the world and its inhabitants (except for maybe Weaponsmith Ornifex, but she’s a cute, feathery noodle, in a weird way). By the end of the game, DLCs and all, I got “The Heir” ending. I felt unsatisfied, but not in a way that made me want to explore more of the world; it was more like a “Wow, I didn’t get $10.46 out of this game.” kind of unsatisfied. The weapons and armors are fine, but the fact that the First Age of Fire armors, (I.E. Elite Knight set, Caterina set, Conjurers set, ect.) are just thrown about in the world, bought off of random Merchants or just lying there and rusting away, did not fit my idea of the lore and gameplay. I didn’t even find the full Caterina set.
People like to say that the DLCs complete the game and its lore, but that isn’t an excuse for a bad game and bad lore. I point to this game as the beginning of the trend for releasing an incomplete game, and fixing it over time.

Cons:
-Updated engine can be detrimental to combat, given that the original engine worked very well
-The beautiful world seems too empty
-The new lore feels like a carbon copy of DS1 with Fanfic add-ons
-Classic armor and weapons seem tossed around without much thought put into their placement
-Amazing DLCs save the game, but that is not a good thing. The base game should represent the DLC, not the other way around.

I went into this wanting to like it, but I just couldn’t. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this game to anyone, regardless of whether or not it’s on sale or at regular price. If you want a good Dark Souls game, buy DS1 or DS3. If you want A GOOD game With GOOD DLCs that Respects its Source Material, Buy Fallout: New Vegas.

And Does one start with such a fundamentally flawed yet Spectaular game?
Pros:
-World Building
-Quality Gameplay
-Some Interesting stories
-Great DLCs
-Good Soundtrack
-Great Mod Community Keeping it alive and kicking
Cons:
-Berthesda Bugs (I.E. Dragon clipping through wall and killing 15 story essential NPCs)
-Lack Luster Characters
-Some Boring Stories
-Quarky A.I. (Sometimes)
-The Fact Bethesda and Steam are ACTIVELY TRYING TO HIDE IT!

Overall It gets: THE KEK SEAL OF APPROVAL!
