Take Two abandoned this game. I will never buy a take two game again.

I still foolishly have hope that its not dead and will be brought to its full vision in due time, but as of right now, until i see development back on track i cannot recommend this game.

Love this game, Hate the publisher.

This review has been edited because Sony has back tracked their requirement to link steam with their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ PSN. Overall the game is fantastic, great PvE shooter to play with friends and enjoy spreading some managed Democracy around. Fully worth the price and I actually like the progression mechanics and the fact that you can buy the passes with earned in game credits instead of having to spend money. This is how Live service Games should be made, and this is the new benchmark for how its done.

Previous edit for posterity and a reminder to Sony to not ♥♥♥♥ with us again...

I will not be forced to link my steam account to a different service known to have more holes than Swiss cheese to play a game. If sony backtracks this forced sign up with PSN, i will changer my review, but until then DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!! Even the Devs have said they are against this change.

End of previous review from when Sony tried forcing their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ PSN on us.

Abso****inglutely. Played this game in early access and it was worth every penny then. Having played it at launch now it is 100% worth the price if you love RPGs in general. The depth that they put into this game is mind blowing and this game will only get better with time as mods come out for it.

A very solid survival game that will consistently be in my game rotation of regular games to play. It is very easy to set things down for a spell and come back to things and be able to pick up where you left off. This is all on top of the game being early access as well. I have yet to come across any serious bugs or issues with the game, or any at all, and currently the only issue i have with the game is that once you reach the plains, there isn't any more content to be had that is new or a direction to go in. This however is because the game is not finished and in time i am confident the developers will have fleshed out the game more and more.

tl;dr, fantastic game, very stable for an early release, game will only get better with time as more content is added and more things can be done.

I've had this game from near the very beginning when it launched. When it first launched I found it wanting a lot of the features you could find in Simcity and I fell in and out of playing it after awhile. I always kept up with the DLCs when they released, and just about every aspect that I found wanting either the DLCs or Mods have taken care of. This is now a very well rounded City Builder that you can sink hours into playing and look at the clock in joyful horror at how much time you just put into your city to make it perfect.

If you like city builders, this game is now IMHO the standard bearer for the genre, and you cant go wrong picking this title up and i recommend highly the DLCs that it has as well.

If you have time to kill and wish to get sucked down a wormhole of fun optimizing, expanding and growing a factory till the bitters come home, then this is the game for you. Many a night has been spent by myself starting at 5pm only to look up what felt like 5 minutes later and its 2 am. The game is that good.

One of the best free to play games i've come across. Digital Extremes nails the power fantasy behind the concept of running around killings things as a ninja in space. While the game can be a grind at times it doesnt detract from the fun that ive had in it over the years. This is also one of the few games that has a fair in game purchase system and I am happy to help support Digital Extremes through those purchases. Nothing is locked behind a pay wall and purchases only help to speed up the game play. Even so, you can still get a very effective selection of gear without spending any money at all. All in all a solid game that i find myself constantly coming back to and will probably be playing for many years to come.
