Well... This "new fix" did the job alright... The game is not bugged anymore, it just crashes on the tutorial...
Twice in a row. Stopped trying after that.

game has several early-game game-breaking bugs resulting in having to restart the game as there's no known fixes.

in my case, missing garden certificate, the npc issuing it drops it on the floor if inventory is full.
the game deletes the dropped item which is REQUIRED to progress if it's not picked up.

avoid if you dont enjoy game breaking bugs

The game has some release issues, most of which have been figured out, and have fixes available.
I had an issue getting the game to run at all, but i fixed it with a bit of googling.

The game is absolutely fantastic, looks great, runs smooth as butter, gorgeous environments, excellent gameplay loop.

Genuinely, this could very well be the game of the year for me, most games are ♥♥♥♥ nwoadays, this got me playing until 4 in the morning.
no game managed to hook me in like that for YEARS now.
I absolutely recommend this game, go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ play this ♥♥♥♥.

If you're familiar with Dark souls, this game's easier than dark souls, but has a similar amount of challenge, but is a bit more forgiving, and there's a lot more to do in general, exploring is rewarded etc.

bit of a disjointed review, but ♥♥♥♥ it, go play this ♥♥♥♥,

-terible performance
-combat mechanics is one of the worst i've ever experienced
-constantly have character locked into animations that take any control away from you.
-game forces you to waste TONNES of time waiting for npc to craft stuff for you, sitting around and waiting for DAYS ingame
-awful camera, constantly locked into awkward positions, or disallowing you to control the camera yourself to look behind you while running away from something for example.

+survival mechanics are okay
+searching and scavenging is actually somewhat fun.
+good looking game overall, bad monsterdesign though,

The game's combat system makes what could otherwise be a genuinely enjoyable survival/gather/craft/build experience into a short exercise complete frustration.
It also runs terribly, even on very powerful setups, framedrops and spikes that turn your character around 180 degrees, suddenly looking up into the sky, in the middle of combat etc, the poor performance in this game is actually game-breaking, due to how the combat works, and is a death-sentence in a faux-permadeath game.

If you do choose to buy and try this game, i suggest setting a timer to not go over the 2-hour refund timer.
though chances are you'll have had enough of this experience and uninstall it before that time mark passes.
