I hate big corporations, I don't care if they stole it

I would struggle to say the graphics are groundbreaking, or that the gameplay is anything particularly new. The bossfights can feel... Familiar. However, for a free game: It does a fantastic job of combining The Division style gameplay with some elements from other popular games recently such as Palworld. The core concept does feel fresh (to me anyway), and for free it's hard to complain about the occasional jank. Boss fights do eventually incorporate some variety to them to keep each one from feeling the same.

Worth the time you put into it, as long as it stays away from pay to win and keeps to cosmetic-monetization.

Launcher is broken, and appears to have been for a long time. Square Enix does not care for the steam version, why should you. Playing the game requires exiting steam after logging into the launcher but before launching, or else the game black screens.

Technical issues aside, the combat feels average. There's just nothing to distinguish it from the experience offered by any other MMO. As well, the initial story is one-dimensional. The world and the people within it come across as surface-level. Characters are empty at best, and outright annoying at worst. I was genuinely shocked when the story used the groundbreaking narrative element of "foreshadowing," as at that point I truly felt that was beyond the purview of these writers.

good game, I don't normally like survival games but this one is awesome, particularly with friends.

However unfortunately, I can not recommend the game. New content is dropped frequently, however it is just as frequently broken. The game was fun for the first 10 hours, however it just does not offer enough to bring me back.

As well, I doubt Sony is going to stay true to their withdrawal for long and will very soon bring back the requirement in some other form.

In short, game is fun for a bit, publisher sucks, I can't recommend it in its current state and at its current price. Go buy something fun and unique like Abiotic Factor made by an actual indie studio.

The amount of content in this game is crazy for a newly released indie game, and it's actually very well polished. Encountered no bugs at time of writing this review. The fact that this only just came out and new content will likely be added is unbelievable. Definitely worth $10, this could easily go for $20.

This game is a warning of the very real human cost associated with putting pineapple on pizza.
