TL;DR: a young man coming to terms with stress visual novel that's pretty good.
TW: alcoholism and sexism

What a great read! I did not expect that twist, and I wish I had considered taking earlier events more seriously, though I do still have some lingering questions, as I should. The story ends vaguely, allowing you to create your own stitched narrative about what happened.

I wish there were secondary resources to read about some of the characters more in-depth-ly. The main character is a bit sexist and, as other reviews have said, an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but it's because of what happens? Idk, a reread might be necessary to truly get a true read on him (at the time of this review, I've just finished my first reading). Nobody should ever justify what this guy says with his self-important atmosphere, but it's understandable I guess. I think we've all met someone like him in real life.

The Germany setting is fleshed out, giving you a great sense of distance. The only time I felt was a little unbelievable was how near the windmills were to the party where he sees the blonde girl?, but other than that I really had a clear image of setting.

Give The Raintime a read!

DISCLAIMER: Originally, this review was made during BL3's release when Epic exclusivity was announced; you'll be able to read that at the end of this.

Borderlands 2 is my favorite game of all time. From the enjoyable story, all the ludicrous side missions, to the amazing end game, it truly does have it all in a relatively cheap package (especially on sale!). The game still looks really good because of its stylish art style, but if you have a bigger monitor than 1600:900, the textures might look a little jank.

Borderlands 2 also has a pretty cool modding community! I'd recommend trying borderlands reborn, the unofficial community patch 1.0 through 5.0, borderlands 2.5, BLassic, fight for your life lands (FFYLands), the ultra low config for low end PC's shader pack, if u have a not-so-good computer, Robeth's unlimited coop mod, the borderlands 1 vault hunter characters, and Strife the Infiltrator.

If you don't know already, Borderlands 2 has five campaign dlcs and 5-6 "head hunter packs." The campaign dlcs are better in every right; they're have more content overall, like a longer story (the headhunters are kinda just one mission and then a boss), and the campaigns give more exclusive loot, like Tiny Tina's Attack on Dragon's Keep's (TTAoDK) twister and grog nozzle. Here are the campaigns rated:

- TTAoDK (the best dlc in any game i've ever played. hands down. tiny tina uses a game of dnd as a coping tool. i used to hate tina, but this dlc made me love her character).

- Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty (controversial? maybe. pimpernel, sandhawk, and the cursed weapons? fun af. The introduction of seraphs and seraph crystals was definitely a really strong point to this dlc as well).

- Commander Lilith and the Fight for Sanctuary (the newest of the bunch, by about five years. honestly pretty fun little package. I think it's pretty in the middle. I just kinda hate it conceptually. It's a tool for gearbox to be able to tell the story they wanted to tell with Borderlands 3, and if you didn't play it, there's some pieces that'll seem odd. I really like the invincible fight in this one, and the new weapon archetype of effervescent or rainbow are really fun).

- Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage (padded out gameplay and little long, but it's definitely not the worst. Besides, slow hand on ucp 4.0 is so much fun)

- Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt (honestly skip this one sksksksk. It's so long. The areas are gigantic with not much to fast travel with and don't even bother with some of the quests. Both the invincibles are incredibly unrewarding and terrible to fight. From what I've heard, it's universally panned).

The headhunter packs you can look up. They're all mediocre, but I'd rather play them than SHBGH again.

Borderlands 2, as I said, is my favorite game of all time. I'd pick it up on sale, as the GOTY version goes for ~$5, and if you somehow haven't played this game in the last eight years, give yourself a pick me up. You deserve it.

Original Review:
I love Borderlands 2. I also *love* 2K. Both make a perfect combo with my favorite DRM service, the Epic Games Store. Thanks for listening to your community!

I love this game. It's a combo of Star Fox level selecting (minus the secret paths), Asteroids, and Roguelikes. My only complaint with the game is I cannot play it w/o a virtual machine (bc I have Windows 10 baby).
Edit: I ended up fixing the game by running it in Windows 7 compatibility mode.

Get it on a sale even if you're interested. I would say around $5, but RT is such a stingy company that I bet it'll never get down that low. There's no support for the game anymore content wise, so the JNPR team DLC is all we're getting. I got this before release by about a month or two, and I got it for $12. I played through the story and I was content with it. I saw it as a good game to mess around with friends. At release, there were a couple levels added and an art style change. The update reset my progress, but that's understandable. Other than the story, there's lack luster amounts of content including hoard mode. It's not worth the $20 price tag or anything over $10, so proceed with caution. Oh, one last thing. This game has none of the spirit of the show. They repeat quotations, but nothing you'd expect from the show is here. RWBY: Grimm Eclipse bland and should've been handeld much differently. Look at Shadow Esper's review of this game, they've got the top review in the "most helpful review" section.

A game where you -the player- are battling against a group (I forgot the name...) that dislikes human enhancements (robot eyes, metal prosthetics...). You are a result of being killed and the human enhancements being the only thing keeping from dying. Overall through what I've played it's a fun game!
