I really didn't want to leave a bad review. Rain World has been one of my favorite games and Downpour, for me, was an excellent addition to the video game. Rain World: The Watcher is a confusing slog through regions with little to nothing in common with one another, unrewarding gameplay that has you travelling through regions unbalanced and frustrating until you find out that there was only one exit to the WHOLE region anyways.

The DLC has no identity, and it is bloated with an extreme amount of content with terrible pacing and a lot of new additions that do not fit the style of Rain World in the slightest. Not to mention the amount of bugs I've seen. There are some regions with terrible collision and this entire experience just felt unfinished and... unfortunately a very negative experience.

I've not finished the DLC, I'll preface that. I gave up once I got sent all the way back to the first new region. No, not the beginning region. This whole DLC was just terribly thought out and executed badly.

I did have hope in the beginning, it was interesting to see what was changed and there were many moments of positive subversion. But then the pacing went out the window after the beginning part and then it just got worse. Not to mention, many of the base game regions are completely cut-off. Perhaps a lore choice, but gameplay-wise it didn't do the campaign any justice. It is rather linear, something I heavily dislike compared to what core rain world usually is.

There are some positives, at least. The music is good, though the new audio from the new regions definitely feel like it came from different developers. The art is great, even in the new regions which I have criticised the art is excellent. And the Watcher's gimmick is very fun to play around with an useful.

That's about it, the more I played the less I enjoyed. And it did hit rock bottom at a certain point with just how horrible the pacing and gameplay was.

I would post a full and long descriptive review. But this game has countless things to acknowledge that really makes this game stands out. It's a whimsically fun adventure that takes you through numerous friends both human and alien. You don't even need to know too much about Homestuck to enjoy this game. I personally have too many things I love about this game and it is definitely worth the money you pay.

Undertale to put it simply is an amazing game. I used to dislike it as I thought there's no way a video game the way Undertale is could be that good. I was mistaken. With a story constructed so carefully, characters made not too tropey and not entire confusing, it makes Undertale's pace amazing for almost anyone when playing. With you like something quick and active or something slower and calm. Undertale is a game I would recommend. Plus the amazing iconic music that this game has, it's beautiful. Toby Fox, the game's creator and also the guy who composed to music I can tell put a lot of thought into this. He constructed something he was happy seeing, and I am proud to say Undertale is one of my favourite games, sure you could say there are flaws with Undertale still. Sometimes it does feel a little basic in some areas and such. But believe me, Undertale is not shallow whatsoever, there is so much to learn and find out even after you have beaten the game. I could mention one of the flaws is the limitation to content you view in different routes. It strongly encourages pacifist gameplay or outright genocidal gameplay for best results and an experience you will remember. Neutral routes in the game exist, and honestly they are interesting to play. But unfortunately you may not get the feel of the game if you don't follow the pattern the game so badly intends you to follow. Always have hope, always give mercy, and you will go on an adventure. Feel free to think what you want of the game, I personally love it however.
