This is where Final Fantasy started improving on the story as well as introducing the ATB system that series would use for its games. Cecil Harvey is a great protagonist in 4 and a very compelling character. Only downside is that he's not very interesting to play as the game goes on. The other characters are very good to. Rydia, Kain and Edge are my favorites in this game. Only thing I personally didn't like in the story were the constant fake outs that this game does. It's fine to do it only once but the more you do it cheapens the impact of the story. Overall the game is good.

It's actually insane how this game came out a year after Final Fantasy 1 cause Final Fantasy 2 is very different from it's predecessor. There is more of a story, the protagonists have character and this game is shockingly dark especially since this game out on the famicom in 1988. This game is considered the black sheep of the first six Final Fantasy games but I honestly had a good time with this game and I didn't mind how the battle system worked. Also this game introduced being able to ride chocobos, ultima spells as well as the Dragoons that became series stables. This game also went and created an entirely new series called SaGa as the director of the SaGa series worked on Final Fantasy 2. Only thing I didn't like about FF 2 was the constant dead ends in dungeons that got old really quick.

While the game is basic Final Fantasy 1 still holds up surprisingly well and the pixel remaster is a great way of playing the game that started it all.

This is my first Armored Core game and I must say I had a very fun time playing it. It felt like playing a ps3 game in 2023 which I like alot. Don't expect this game to play like souls games cause that would be a disservice to this series and especially to this games strengths. I was immediately taken back by how much customization there is in this game which blew me away. So many cool builds to try especially experimenting on different things if you ever get stuck on a mission or arena mode. Gonna continue playing more and go for the last two endings but yeah if you like mechs get this game.

Dark Souls 1 is one the best games ever made and 12 year old me would go crazy finding out that I beat Dark Souls 1. I give it 5 greatswords out of 5

Just play the Dead Space Remake instead

Found this game awhile back browsing around the upcoming survival horror games in the store and it looked cool. One of the coolest games to come out this year.

Played this game back on ps3 first then played it again on pc. Replaying this game again reminded me when I played this as a kid for the first time and how scared I was to progress further into the game, I felt like a champ when I beat it for the first time and overcoming the nightmare that was the USG Ishimura. While some of the visuals have shown it's age it's still crazy to me how well this game has hold up 14 years later. Dead Space is one of my favorite games of all time and an all time classic, from the sound design, the atmosphere, the non existent hud and cutting off the limbs of the creatures instead of shooting the head makes Dead Space stand out the most from other survival horror games. Only downside to this is that the pc port is an after thought, anything above 60fps will cause the game to be very slow and the mouse sensitivity on default is pretty bad. Overall the game is really good and I can't wait to play The Callisto Protocol when that hits in December. I do have an interest in the Dead Space remake too that's coming out next year in January and I do like what I see from what the developers at Motive have showcased and I do think they are taking it in the right direction. However this is published by EA and they are the reason as to why the Dead Space series died as well as killing off the developers that made the series Visceral Games. Also there are ways to fix the problems for this game on the steam guides for this game so shoutout to those people who made those guides, you guys rock.

Ringo is hot, nuff said

Played the definitive version on ps4 but wanted to replay it again because this game is still so much fun to play. For a game that came out in 2013 the graphics for this game still hold up to a degree, specifically the character models, some look good and some don't. Gameplay is really solid but the later installments in the survivor trilogy improve upon the first game. Tomb Raider 2013 is a really solid action adventure game and I love the new direction the developers took with a more grounded take on her character and I like the overall direction this trilogy took with it being her origin story and how she becomes the Tomb Raider. I can't wait to see what Tomb Raider 4 will be like but hopefully when the 4th game is revealed Crystal Dynamics focus isn't on The Avenger's game. (Hopefully)
