Nearly 4.5 years ago, I received a VAC ban while using specialized accessibility software designed to enhance my gaming experience as a Deaf player. The software translated audio cues into visual overlays, helping me to perceive in-game sounds as visuals displayed on screen. While this assistive tool was essential for my gameplay, the overlay method used was unfortunately detected by VAC as a cheat, resulting in a ban. My goal has always been fair play and equal access, and I hope for better understanding of accessibility needs within the gaming community.
