I only played the original Dead Space way back in the day, so I was really excited to revisit it/re-experience it. The game is absolutely fantastic, with the addition of side missions, how free you are to explore the Ishimura, I really enjoyed my time here, even enough to go hunting for all the Achievements.
Performance was choppy at some points, I don't thing my computer is as up to date as it could be, but I've also heard a lot how the port could use a bit of work too.
I enjoyed my time thoroughly all the same! If you're on the fence maybe wait for it to be on a sale one day, or if they release some patches for performance.

I really love this game, and am glad I bought it.
The horror experience is unreal. I'm a big wuss when it comes to games like this, but I was able to tredge through because I found the experience and the story that interesting. I wanted to push myself to progress to learn more about the horrors that this farm held and the secrets it kept.
The scares are really good, although later in the game it's a matter of they might be predictable. Also the more decked out with weapons you get the less scary it gets (dead space 1 gave me the same feeling)
This is coming from somebody who hasn't played many Resident Evil games but is now interested in trying more out.

What more can be said about this game? It's very hard and makes you want throw things at the wall and hit your controller against your monitor.
And you'll still keep on coming back because it's so damn fun.
