Amazing game but for the full enjoyment of this series, expect to buy all three installments. Vortex is an awesome standalone but not quite worth the price if simply considering the Vortex campaign without DLCs.

Despite the great story, I spent more time exploring the world. I think that speaks for itself.

Tried it after it was recommended to me as similar to XCOM. Fantastic game. Can be very challenging, has its own sense of humour, very unique, runs smoothly and has non-human characters with their own personalities. Give it a go.

Very ambient, beautiful, relaxing game with quite a bit of lore in it. Games like this and stellaris are very easy to play and can be a bit grindy, but I take pleasure in reading the scenarios and lore.

I will be updating this review in future.

This game definitely needs more players. Has been around quite a while and is still receiving updates. Whether you're playing with friends, bots or other players online, PvE or PvP, this game is great fun. There is an amount of grind involved, but that can be overlooked. Keeps me returning.

DotA 2 is quite like life. You're going to make mistakes. You're going to be put on the spot for those mistakes. At times your allies will feel like your enemies. At times you will feel like you have friends in enemies. You'll meet people you don't understand at all. You'll once in a rare time, meet someone who you get along with superbly. You'll have moments where you lose faith in humanity, then you will have those that restore said faith. You're going to suffer through it for long periods of time. You're going to enjoy it for even shorter periods of time. Yet, you push onward with hopes, goals and dreams.

Many of us wonder why we still play this game or even put ourselves through it all. As someone once said, "DotA is a blessing and a curse". That quote is quite spot on for this game, but it doesn't tell you that it's more of a curse than a blessing. Why do we keep playing you ask? Perhaps it is because we are human. Perhaps it is because we enjoy challenging ourselves. For even if you play DotA 2 for thousands of hours on end, every match you play has a different player in it. Their playstyle is different. Maybe they're more skilled than the last person you saw playing a specific hero. Maybe they're more skilled. Maybe they did something completely unorthodox and reminded you of the fact that no hero is meant to be a specific way. Perhaps it is this variety that keeps us going. In the moments where you have a victory that you have fought long and hard for, or, you manage to meet some splendid folk in your match, whether on your team or the enemy's, you realize very briefly, why you enjoy or will enjoy this game.

So, yes, my fellow people. Every bad and good thing you will see or hear about this game is true. It will eat your time, your hope, your relationships even. It can consume you. You will need great strength to succeed and enjoy this game in the form of forgiving, thanking, working hard without recognition, resilience to corruption and so forth. The journey is worth it, if you are able to do this. The lore for this game is fantastic and so is its history. For this reason alone, I can claim that it is one of the best MOBAs you will play.

As valve themselves have claimed, "What does a hero truly need?"

That is up to you. You decide what path you will take, not only in your matches, but in every choice you make along your journey. Will you be an Offlaner? Will you be a Support? Will you be a Carry/Core? Will you focus on Utility or Crowd Control? Will you become Corrupt or will you be Strong, not only for yourself but for your allies?

There is much more to say about the the world of DotA 2. The rest you can discover on your own. Good luck to all of you. Make the community stronger and better. We all, this work of art included, deserve to be pushed to our full potential and enjoy ourselves.

This one really had me thinking, even brought up emotions. At the end I could say it was a fantastic experience, now, it's your turn. Get it.

Very beautiful game, especially with the new board skin DLC, which I heartily recommend! This game is quite simple at its core, play one of 12 heroes(if you're not a founder) which are all unique and guide them on your chosen path to defeat the King and become King or Queen of Armello.

There are four ways to win, some a little less tasking than the others. However, while this game is straightforward, the world can be perilous and certainly deceptively complicated under its simple face. It allows you to plan ahead, despite the randomness of most events. This same randomness can be considered a blessing or a curse, as it may impede or boost your fight for the throne. Something that might intrigue some players, is that no matter how poorly you may think you're doing, there is always a way to become the ruler of all Armello.

There's really not much to say about this game anymore, it's a masterpiece in its own right with very few bugs. Look forward to future and past content from the wonderful developers!

Great faction and campaign map. Roster is diverse however it's true that the Beastmen pretty much are Orks combined with Chaos in terms of mechanics. Completely new units except for the chaos warhounds and research tree.

The only downside is in my current playthrough, I've destroyed every other faction(map is completely blank and in ruins) and I'm unable to complete the campaign. It was a fun ride however, though at times it did feel shallow. It's day 1 so perhaps because I wiped everyone out before completing any of the item quests or possible due to a mod, it bugged out. It's no excuse however. Looking forward to a patch.

Haven't seen anyone post about this problem yet.
