So to start of this DLC is more then worth the money in my opinion, but there are a lot of complains and negative reviews about the game and i just wanna add my view to it.


Yes the DLC is difficult but not to that extent that some ppl make it out to be. The bosses aren't harder they are stronger, as to say that their moves aren't worse then most in the normal base game and are more then possible to beat (im proof as elden ring is my first soulsgame and i beat the dlc in ng+). The issue i think is that they have more hp and dmg then the normal game bosses so most ppl who have already beaten the game aren't ready for it in ng+ i know i wasn't at first, The dlc basically brings you back to lvl 1 and you have to explore to find a new item that upgrade your stats and throw yourself against bosses again to beat them.


This is the other thing i have seen ppl talk about, in my time playing the game i only noticed some issue once and it was in the final fight with one or 2 certain moves were i lost some frames but to me it didn't make a huge impact, especially not enough for the DLC to not be worth the money.


For the lore enjoyers like myself the overall story is good but leaves some big questions for the ending of the dlc, Saddly from what i have seen there don't seem to be a new game ending after beating the dlc just one for the dlc itself, this feels a little but put a nice tie on the dlc itself. It does however change the view of some characters and actions taken by them in the base game to quite a large extent so we get plenty of story that gives information about exsisting characters as well as new ones


The dlc adds many new spells weapons and ashes of war to the game and so far all of the ones i have seen and used are good both in effectivity and cool factor so this i see as a pure win

So all in all this is a very good dlc and feels more like it's own tiny game rather then an add on. More then worth the 40£
