To be fair, I find Below Zero to be much more entertaining than the original Subnautica. With that being said, Subnautica ironically has a much better story than BZ because you aren't bombarded with cheesy dialogue and over-the-top voice acting, you feel as if you really are alone and are trying to figure things out one step at a time. I get it...the circumstances in BZ are much different but it still really bothers me. With that said, *everything* else in BZ is an improvement from the original game. Most of the negative reviews are from people who decided to go against how the game was designed to be played and exploit advanced blueprints to go through the game quicker. While I believe the devs did this on purpose to allow more freedom, I see that many have abused that power and claimed their *own* choice suddenly means the game is bad.

One last thing, BZ is MUUUCH longer than the original Subnautica if you play it thoroughly. There is so much more to do and explore and the map is a lot larger. Overall...I really recommend BZ. But for the sake of all us please do better on the story next game.

bruh this game has serious optimization issues because i can't launch it anymore on my 1440p monitor in any resolution setting.

This game is so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun I mean...if you like shooter games this is a must have. Hard to learn at first and very frustrating but you learn quickly. I recommend playing with experienced friends at first to learn quicker.

I believe this is quite an intriguing game, especially if you desire adventure and thrill. I will place my personal pros and cons of this game below:

PROS:
Simplistic yet detailed
You can download hundreds of mods to customize your experience
The universe has an infinite number of possible stars and planets
You can customize your ship
Soundtrack is exceptional

CONS:
Story is generic and short
New players are not given proper starting information, making it very confusing
After finishing the main story, there isn't much else to do
Marketing in this game isn't accurate (There are mods that can fix this)
Game doesn't get progressively harder, it constantly fluctuates (Which throws off gameplay)

Overall I give this game a 8.2/10
It has its strengths and weaknesses but I will say that I recommend this game if you like adventure
