Putting it upfront, I have played the previous game and can see why the criticism for this game is valid. It still has a long way to go to be able to stand on it's own as a good game but as of now it is still in "Early Access". I do hope they port over a lot of the concepts from the old game, make everything look distinct (enemies, Items etc.) Right now, it feels like a poor translation of the first and I feel like they are trying to go for depth when simplicity was the strength of the first game. Stylistic flourishes like heavy shadows would be awesome but that's just me.
