This game is a lot like FTL but is both better and worse in a variety of ways. Let me start by saying that the game is fun to play which is the most important part. Without getting too in depth about it, due to lack of time, the game looks good and plays pretty well. The developers could have easily invested a few more weeks of their time and eliminated some of the bugs and crashes and I'd have said (if they had done so) that this game is better than FTL. However, since it crashes and errors out fairly regularly (it auto saves though so you may only lose out on one battle or some event in game) it does get a bit on your nerves which obviously doesn't happen with FTL. Also, the angle they chose to have as the default should be adjustable because to me, it's just a bit off. It does interfere with a MINOR amount of gameplay (specifically only 2 ships that I've seen but I'm not very far into the unlocks).

Long story short, if you can catch this on sale, it's worth it "IF" you have the patience. If you're not a patient person, I'd probably skip this as the crashes really do get annoying after a while.

CS:GO Review
So I came back to this game after MANY years of not playing it (note to self: stop being old). The skins (new to me) are nice and add some flair to the game. The community hasn't changed much......which is odd considering I've been playing CS off and on for a very long time. As with every multiplayer game, the people you meet can make or break the game for you. If you're constantly matched with the screaching hordes of prepubescent manchilds who have apparently all had torrid love affairs with your maternal parent, there's a lovely feature that allows you to block all communication from them However, if you actually luck out and meet fun & friendly people you can truly enjoy the CS experience. As a fan of the game, I love the new graphics but there is a LOT of room for the AI to be improved (the bots are about as useful as a glass of water to a drowning man). All in all a very fun game and has been for years.

Do you like Diablo? Do you like turn based combat? Then this is the game for you! It's literally a turn based version of Diablo which is oddly fun to play. The two major drawbacks are that the game doesn't scale very well (just like in diablo when you'd spawn that ONE Elite/Miniboss that was basically unkillable) and the gameplay does get very repetitive. However, the story is a bit amusing and there are some fun little things to do like leveling up your weapons/armor etc. If you're a grind enthusiast, it's actually kind of relaxing. If you can catch this on sale, it's definitely worth a few hours of your time.

This is a simple game that is easy and fun to play. It's a turn based RPG/Rogue-like with minimal everything that's actually fun and not to difficult in any way/shape/form. This is the kind of game you play to kill time without having to invest too much thought. My ONLY two complaints are no achievements and no trading cards. That aside I do think the game is worth it since it's less than $5!

For $.49 you CANNOT go wrong with this game. It's simple and fun. Nothing to deep and not too aggravating. Reminds me a bit of Asteroids as a kid but with a bit smoother gameplay and more features. Definitely worth the money.

I played through the tutorial and then through 2 multiplayer maps from start to finish (finished one, crashed 2x on the other and gave up). I only crashed during the 2.4 hours I played this 3x. Now, crashes on a new release aren't what makes me NOT recommend this game as I'm sure they'll eventually get fixed. No, what ruined it for me was that there was absolutely NO POINT to the multiplayer. You don't get items to keep for your next run or levels to expand into anything remotely useful. You play it (win or lose) then wipe the slate clean and start all over. Wasted time for zero reward and while some games are fun in this regard, this one felt horribly painful.

I'll start with the tutorial which does a good job of making sure you understand how the combat works (IE THIS BUTTON DOES THAT & THAT BUTTON DOES THIS NOW MOVE ALONG IN THE NAME OF THE EMPEROR) but the melee in this game seems almost utterly useless which was sad. Yes, you have lightning claws or a power fist or a mace and it will kill what you hit but everything that gets close to you shreds your armor (have you seen that armor and it's thickness?) like you're wearing cardboard cutouts. Yes, you can block but it didn't seem to do anything especially given the sheer numbers of enemies.

Here's my multiplayer experience: loaded up a match, found teammates, picked classes and started. Everyone ran off in different directions despite the goal being marked on the map and died. People left (I was hosting) and new people joined. I leveled up (yay?) and was told I could change weapons by opening my inventory. I opened it and crashed. Started a new match and just ran through it without changing weapons and finished it. Go to next map and realize I'm back to level 1 and nothing I'd done previously really mattered. Ok, second map started going and again I level up. Switched weapons through inventory without crashing this time. New gun seems worse than the old one but whatever. Keep going and then crash. Forced to start over again and spend WAY too much of my time trying to wrangle my new teammates into moving to the damn objectives which are CLEARLY MARKED ON THE MAP. After 45+ minutes of trying to herd the mentally challenged rocks that I had for teammates, I gave up. Tried to join someone else's game and crashed. THEN I just gave up on the game completely.

I LIKED the graphics and thought they were very well done (at least on my comp they looked great). I didn't run the single player campaign at all and thought about trying it but honestly I bought this for the multiplayer aspect and was so disappointed in it that I actually have requested a refund. I just don't have enough faith in the Warhammer 40K franchise to produce anything (other than DoW series) that is actually fun to play. This game in particular seems like it would have benefitted greatly from another 6 months of development and beta testing with adjustments based off player feedback (seriously wtf is with the flat out reset after beating a map? where is the carryover or reward in winning?).

Basically it's Left 4 Dead done in the Warhammer Fantasy universe. The story is good and the gameplay fun. The graphics are great. I enjoy playing this game. I just wish they'd fix the "bounties and quests" portion to be renewable instead of just a few per day. There are people who would play longer IF there were more quests to be done. The randomized loot is a bit of a pain so pray to Ranald (or RNGESUS) for some luck.

It's a fun little game that is pretty simple to play but you know what would make it even simpler? USING A CONTROLLER!!!! Everything else aside it's quite a nice little game with a lot of nice gameplay in a setting that hasn't been really done to death (Aztec world/gods). Still some bugs (having items disappear the moment you pick them up is quite annoying) but overall a fun game that doesn't really require a massive learning curve.

From what I'm given to understand this is a single developer's sonata to the age old classic game HeroQuest. I played it as a kid and probably still have the board/pieces in storage. This makes this game NOSTALGIC and the developer is evil for cashing in on my nostalgia (just kidding, I love you?). That being said the game is simple and easy to pick up. There isn't much thought required beyond simple math.

PRO's: Easy to learn and fun to play
Lots of variety available
Interesting classes and campaigns
Basically a PC graphic for a boardgame in a very well done format

CON's: Imbalanced Classes
Imbalanced shop (weapons/armor/etc)

I have heard that the developer is still actively working with the community on this game and still creating more content. For me that is a HUGE plus! Props to you good sir!

Definitely worth a go if you remember HeroQuest or if you like rpg type boardgames!

Early Access Review
This game SEEMS simple enough.......until your face is getting chewed off by zombies. I enjoy the gameplay but there needs to be a LOT more explanation as to WHAT EXACTLY you're supposed to do first. Yes, the tutorial says useful things like "assign survivors to do this or that" but without having ANY clue as to what is what it's a lot of trial and error when you first start. The gameplay is fun especially the scout missions but the exploration missions are.......imbalanced? I really feel like this could be fleshed out JUST a bit more with explanations but I also SEVERELY believe that a difficulty setting should be an option. Not everyone is the micro managing god. Perhaps also adding a "tactical pause" feature? Definitely a good game though but also still needs work.
EDIT: After playing a few more times I have come to the realization that this game should have been broken down into two different games.....I believe the developers "over-extended" themselves and have tried to make more content. The problem is that it's almost two different games as the scouting missions are one type of play and the exploration missions are another. They just don't mesh as well as could be hoped.
