DJMAX RESPECT V is one of the most well-crafted rhythm games I’ve ever played. Every penny spent on it is worth the experience. One of the first things that impressed me was how unique and distinct each theme is, with every theme having its own background music when selecting modes. Each chart has its own music video, and if it doesn’t, the game creates an original one, clearly showing the level of care and investment from the developers.

The game is frequently updated, not only adding new songs but also introducing more difficulty levels to older charts. The game features four modes: 4B, 5B, 6B, and 8B. If you want to "get good," you should play every mode, starting from 4B, then progressing to 6B, and so on.

In terms of value, if you're lucky enough to buy the game and its DLCs during a sale, it’s a steal. I was able to get the full game at 80% off.

My only minor complaint is that the game doesn’t have many collaborations with other major rhythm games. While Chunithm and Muse Dash are included, I’d love to see DJMAX RESPECT V collaborate with games like maimai or SDVX and feature more Japanese artists. However, I have to admit that the game already offers a diverse range of music for everyone. I’m not a big fan of K-pop, but DJMAX changed my mind. I got to know more lesser-known Korean artists like TAK, KATOMORI, and XeoN, and I must say, I’m really addicted to their music.

DJMAX RESPECT V truly offers an arcade-like experience at home. Solid 10/10.
