Gauntlet is a great game to play with friends or even solo. The game is well balanced, and scales in difficulty with the number of people playing. Progression occurs at a steady, but reasonable pace, so you'll be able to conquer those higher difficulties after playing the easier ones though.

There are a total of 30 floors to play through, broken into 3 dungeons of 3 chapters each, plus a boss fight. Each chapter takes anywhere from 15-30 minutes to run through, so it's easy to take a break.
