Ive been a huge supporter of this game, with 3000+ hours on my main account, I can tell you that DayZ has had its ups and downs. It was the first game I ever got on steam and I played it day-in, day-out enjoying every moment when the game was first released, yes there were a few bugs a glitches, but it was a lot more playable then now. Ive read other reviews and agree that the devs definitaly put a lot of their time into things they shouldnt, like new guns, cars, locations, etc, but they have changed the game significanlty since it first came out. For any new poeple coming into the game now, it is a huge learning curve comparred to some other survival games. For example, learning the map and spawns is difficult when you spawn in the middle of nowhere everytime, only once in a while close to a town. One thing I dislike about DayZ at the moment is how it is all based around PVP and not so much PVE. That being said, they have put some work into the zombies, making them harder to kill and run away from, but there is still a lot of work to be done. Item/gun spawns are also a lot diffrent than before, which I can understand since you usually dont find an M4 in an office building, but sometimes I can only find 2-3 items throughout a whole town. They have worked a bit on the de-sync issues but I still find myself time-to-time getting hit through a wall, or shot while I am inside a building. Dont ghet me wrong, the devs have put a lot of work into DayZ, and I knew coming into it there would be a long process of developement, but I did not expect it to take this long, and for the devs to focus on areas that dont matter as much. Overall this game can be very fun, especially played with friends. In the end I would recommend buying this game, but dont get mad if it's not what you expected.
