I played now about 2500 hours and I feel like that I have to comment the negative current situation of War Thunder and Gaijin. There alot of problems and frustrating or infurating content.
- 1. In general the predatory behaviour which Gaijin developed, because of named economy changes and because of the ever increasing tech tree grind you are forced to get premium content otherwise you won’t be able to play higher battleratings since it takes an extrem amount of time to research later vehicles in the techtree without premium conten.
- 2. The increasing amount of cheaters ingame which get frequently exposed but Gaijin cares little about that topic and they get rarely banned.
- 3. A lot of bugs like invisible enemies or ghost shells or the option to turn certain parts of the environment off to get an advantage over other players.
- 4. The insane spam of premiumvehicles on a lot of battleratings especially around 9.0 – 10.3, because the players are forced to use premium content the game developed situations where you have teams full with players which have most of the time only one premiumvehicle and leave after they died which reduces the fun of the game immensly.
5. CAS (Close air support) in general is extremly unfun especially at higher battleratings. Just imagine playing with your Leopard 2A4 and suddently you get destroyed with missiles/rockets/bombs froom the sky over and over again from helicopters, planes or even drones. One might think „Ok in that case I will use SPAA.“which often doesn’t help dependending on the battlerating you are playing. Especially combat drones are a unfun gameplay element which exists since a few updates because everyone gets easy access to them in a gameround and can shot the missiles from a 8km range while most SPAAs can’t reach them .. you are simply a victim to the drone.
- 6. Gambling boxes for real money or ingame currency .. which can be bought also with real money.
