Early Access Review
I honestly didn't expect much from this game but it was pretty good. Mostly fun puzzles, only a couple annoying levels.

The story is nonexistent. The gameplay is fun, it's a good time with friends. I enjoy the building and Kelvin is awesome. This is definitely unfinished, I hope the devs add more and finish the story, it is very incomplete.

Summary: Movement is slow and awful, gunplay is horrendous, UI is bloated and, while making some sense, very annoying to navigate.

Now I'll go over things in a bit more detail.

Movement:
Everything is very slow, running does not feel fast at all. Tac sprint only lasts a very short amount of time and with no way to reset the tac sprint like we had in MW19 with slide cancelling. On the topic of slide cancelling, I don't necessarily care that slide cancelling was removed, my only issue with it being removed is that now with the other nerfs to sliding, it is completely useless. Your gun is down the whole time, and you can't raise it until near the end of the slide at which point your movement has slowed to a near stop and you cant start moving again for a bit. Dolphin diving is also not very useful, as once you've committed to the dive your gun is down until after you land. Bhopping being removed is more of an inconvenience than an actual complaint I guess. You can still have 1 full speed jump, but once you land your movement is slowed and any attempt to continue jumping has lower jump height and keeps you in the same place. Grabbing on to ledges is neat and pretty well done, but its nothing crazy.

Guns:
Every gun is an earthquake in your hands when you shoot it. They shake an absurd amount and makes it hard to see what you're looking at with iron sights, optics kind of fix this but it still doesn't look or feel good. ADS speeds are slowed to a crawl while jumping, making jumpshots annoying and very difficult to hit. Leveling guns is really weird, you have to level specific guns to get certain attachments or other guns instead of the normal system where you just have to level up yourself. This is one of those things where I think it's great that they tried to change something but I don't really like how it works. The attachment system has so much going on, I don't like how many there are and how so many of them have weird drawbacks. For example, putting a pistol red dot on your AR slows your ADS speed. I would much prefer a 1-2 attachment system like in the previous MW2, with a completely cosmetic gunsmith to change things about your gun for looks. I do like the selection of guns, using an AR57 and large caliber variants of the G3 is pretty cool. Wanting more guns might be a little over the top for a legitimate complaint.

UI:
The main menu is annoying, everything could be clickable from one screen but instead there's only a few options one one screen and you have to scroll to another to get the rest of the options. Same thing when you enter a game, you have to scroll to find all of the available game modes instead of having them all readily available on one screen. Some things are hidden in other menus, like the firing range is inaccessible from DMZ unless you enter another game mode and go to the weapons tab and click a small button in the bottom left.

Controllers:
I know this complaint always sounds like total kbm elitist garbage, but controllers got another aim assist buff with this game. Rotational aim assist is still here, and it is not simply close to cheats like it was in MW19, but literally cheats now. Aim sticks to enemies like a magnet, even if you aren't trying to aim at them. I guess this is a huge positive for you if you play on controller!

General:
A couple more things I have to add. Some perks are very weak again, not effectively doing their job. Battle hardened is a total joke just like it was in MW19, you can still get completely flashed/stunned with no counter. I haven't gotten to really mess around with EOD yet but it's likely near as useless as it was in MW19. This game has no specialist, only killstreaks. I hate killstreaks in general and only ever used specialist in MW19. Shotguns and snipers are very strong again which is no surprise, and I hate it. To counteract that a bit, the TTK is very fast, which is also not very fun. I would very much prefer no one shot kills with a slightly longer TTK.

In conclusion, this game is not even close to being worth $70, or being considered playable for me. I hope this was helpful. :)

This is hands down my favorite game, I love everything about it. It is very replayable, there's a lot to do and a lot to explore.
